I ordered the char-broiled pesto chicken sandwich and she ordered the clam chowder. The chicken itself tasted a little too charred and like something you'd expect at a fast food establishment. However, the ciabata bun, pesto, and toppings were good. The chowder was store bought and reheated. Sides like chips or fries cost extra. Staff was friendly, but looked overwhelmed. Also, the place gets very busy by noon with progessively longer wait times to get seated - so consider eating here earlier if you must. Looks like the place made a killing off of outerwear because so many people came up the tram not considering the temperature and weather changes at the top. The seating has some cover and umbrellas, but it's fully exposed to wind and the outside temperature. Be aware the ground squirrels all around the grill go right inside to eat whatever falls from the table and will shamelessly beg for food, which patrons will absolutely oblige because of irresistible cuteness (and for social media purposes of course) - despite the signs requesting not to feed the wildlife. In summary, the food costs too much for the mediocre quality they were serving - unless money is of no concern for you. If that's the case, I have jars of fresh artisan mountain air I'd be more than happy to sell you! If I were to come back up the mountain again? I'd absolutely pack a lunch and a small camp chair. There's a number of great spots on the trail system one can enjoy mountain views with a packed lunch without the crowd. You'll still get your squirrel selfie too since they'll definitely find you anywhere up there as soon as you pull...

We needed something to add a little weight to our protein shake lunch between activities so we ordered two bagels with cream cheese. Our server was very considerate and gave us a disposable knife since she had heard they often put too much cream cheese on the bagels. We ate the bagels while riding the tram back down to the lake. They used our favorite, an everything bagel, with lots of plain cream cheese. It was delicious. To our surprise, they included several strawberries with our order. It was the perfect combo.
If you're not rushing to another activity, this is a great place to just sit and enjoy the views. The views are truly unique. I highly recommend making this trip and enjoying this rare spot for a bite to eat, something to drink, and one of...

And in that time you climb about 3700 feet in elevation To a grand height of 8150 feet at the top of the tram! When you get up to the top there is trails you can hike up to that gives you a multiple different views where you can see over 100 miles down valleys and towns... But there was lots of snow so if you want to hike from May through a good part of June you most likely will need good shoes or boots! The restaurant has a limited selection of food but the food is good...Most of us had the meatball sandwich which was really good They also have Soups and chilli and a couple other food items Also For you drinkers they have a good selection of alcoholic beverages or just soda pop in a can...Butt nothing beats the views of Wallowa lake to your right and the Snow cap Mtns straight in...
