DiMaria's Pizza And Italian Kitchen — Restaurant in Ephrata Township

Not only is DiMaria’s food delicious and unique with some menu options you won’t anywhere else nearby, their customer service is next level. And small town at the same time.

We’ve been sporadically regulars here for years just for pickup and then two weeks ago I placed an online order that I arrived home to find had been filled wrong. Which was a first. I called back to inquire about it and the owner immediately identified it was his mistake and offered to remake one of the pizzas we ordered if we wanted to come get it. I didn’t, because I was tired of driving for the day and just asked for a refund of the difference between what we ordered and what we got.

He kindly explained that because I ordered and paid with an online ordering system it was difficult to do that, but also he would gladly give me a free replacement pizza on my next order and gave me instructions on how to claim that no matter how to order.

Fast forward to tonight when I realized I needed a last minute dinner in the way home and remembered I had that standing credit. I called in my order, including that pizza, and when I showed up to pick up and pay I did just what he told me to do and they called him front and he remembered it and honored it.

Vince just earned ALL of our business. DiMaria’s will literally be one of our first stops. Because not only is their food worth it… but that customer service and trustworthiness...

In an area saturated with mom and pop Italian joints, all of which are almost identical, DiMaria's sets itself apart. They use real rolls for their sandwiches, not the pocket bread that tastes like nothing. Their salads are always super fresh and with the best ingredients. Right down to the cheese they use they just present a higher quality option for good Italian food in Ephrata. You won't find a better cheesesteak at an Italian place here. Shout to to Black Forest Brewery for having hands down the best cheese steaks in town. Every time I have had lunch there the staff are all very friendly. Delivery can take a little longer than most places, but it is worth the wait. I called for delivery last night around 4 for a 6 pm drop off. Like clockwork right at 6 they were here. Food was fresh and hot. I normally wouldn't take this much time to leave a review, but DiMaria's warrants it. Delivery tip...if you order a cheese steak get the sauce on the side. It stays best that way and they are happy to accommodate. *update, delivery is no longer available. But the food remains stellar. Had the Greek salad today 7/14/22 and it was 2 meals worth of salad and...

Not sure how I went this long without knowing about this gem right up the road from me, but this is now one of my new favorite spots. This was my second time eating there in the last three days haha.

My first trip in, I had a cheeseburger hoagie which was excellent. But the real hero (no pun intended) is the cheesesteak. I ordered a standard cheesesteak (steak, onions, American cheese) and the steak was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. They have amazing rolls from Philly too which sealed the deal for me.

I also had a slice of cheese pizza which is probably the closest I've found to NY pizza around Lancaster. Being from Long Island, two of the things I miss the most (and are the hardest to duplicate) are pizza and bagels. I think I can now tick one of those boxes off. Nice thin, crispy crust, not super doughy and seemingly undercooked like almost every other typical pizza shop around here for some reason. Lots of cheese too, which is also something that seems to be missed around here more often than not.

This will absolutely be in my regular rotation. I look forward to trying out more of their pizzas and hoagies....
