Hill Top Pizzeria - Pizza Delivery & Sports Bar — Restaurant in Epsom

I hadn't visited this pizza place in a number of years but have ordered takeout and delivery that is usually pretty good. One of my favorites is the chicken, bacon, ranch pizza. Recently I dropped in on a Friday night with a friend for dinner and a few drinks. There was entertainment in the bar area that night which we really enjoyed. It wasn't too crowded and we seated ourselves at a high top table where a server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We ordered boneless chicken tenders with teriyaki and honey barbecue sauces, onion rings and halepeno poppers all of which were so delicious, we really enjoyed them. When I approached the bar to order more drinks, I found it quite awkward that there was no clear spot designated to approach the bar to order. It felt as though I would be interrupting another customer in their area or would be blocking someone's way no matter where I was. Finally the bartender noticed me standing off to the side awkwardly and came to my rescue. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at Hilltop! I am ordering tonight from this place because Epsom house of pizza is closed. I stopped ordering from here because like one of the reviews said I had to bring back my food from there after it was delivered. Not just once, not twice, yes I did order a third time, and yup I had to bring it back. Every last bit of it was disgusting like it sat in the delivery guys truck for hours..like another one of the reviews said “it took well over an hour” all three times for the food to come. I live 30 seconds down the road. I ordered tonight a Hawaiian pizza a loaded pizza and a tuna sub. Simple enough. I ordered at 430. I will let you know when the food arrives and let’s see how it goes. I am hoping it is amazing because I would like to have other options besides Epsom house of pizza even though they are great sometimes they don’t have a delivery guy and I gotta go get it..lol.. Many times over the past year, Hilltop was our go-to for their pan pizza, especially their meat lovers which was always loaded. About 6 months ago we got a pizza that was highly disappointing and took a break from ordering for a while. I was passing through the area today and decided it was time to give them another shot. Other than that one time, we always loved their pizza! I played it safe and just ordered an extra cheese. When I got home and opened the box, I saw that the pizza was at least 50% crust. All sauce and cheese was placed in the center. I’m not sure if this is just how they make their pizza now? But I personally do not want to eat mostly bread on my pizza and was beyond disappointed. I honestly don’t think I will be back again which is a shame because the pizza itself is very good and is the only reason I gave 3 stars...
