Wagon Wheel Saloon & Steakhouse — Restaurant in Ericson

Love this place. Drove from Chicago and decided to take a detour from our road trip to Colorado Springs to go check out the Lewis and Clarke state park in Nebraska on our way out from the park is all country road gas stations and restaurants were almost non existent on this road. Finally passed a restaurant which we were so thankful for cause we were starving. Came in place was lively and friendly. They close at 10pm we walked in around 945 and still received full service. Waitress said if someone walks in at 10pm for some food the kitchen will stay open to serve them. Pool tables and foosball in the back of the restaurant. Our waitress and I'm guessing they were the owners gave us superb friendly service. Even offered to brew us some coffee for our long night drive to Colorado. Food was excellent. Their little salad bar was impressive. Great cole slaw and crab salad. My son ordered a steak and it was delish. All of us gobbled our fresh hot food down. I fell in love with this place if I lived closer I would definitely be back. Decor was really cute too. Cant say enough good things...

Had a ribeye which may be the best ribeye steak I have ever had. I had a ribeye at Misty's steak house in Lincoln NE two weeks ago which they are known for their prime rib and steaks, but the Wagon Wheel's ribeye was so much better in my opinion it was not even close and the price was about 30% less at the wagon wheel.

The waitress' were professional, friendly, personable even though they were swamped. Some of the staff wore tee shirts that had SHIT SHOW, when I asked why they wear them, they laughed and said because how busy this place is, but it was meant for more as a joke.

This place was absolutely ridiculous. Server was rude and constantly rolling her eyes. Another person behind the bar stared at us the whole time and gave us dirty looks. Server didn’t check on our table a single time and everytime we’d look at her because we needed a refill she would be walking around on her phone. Keep in mind we are the only table she has to serve. As we were leaving we tried saying the service wasn’t good and the server responded with “if you wanted something you should’ve asked” that’s not how that works when you work in a food industry.
