We have always loved going to this restaurant. Was looking forward to your hot roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes after a long day. We have always bragged that your restaurant serves the best ones. When we got there, there was only one other table being served. Our server was polite but not very attentive. We ordered an appetizer as well as our entrees. Our drinks were empty for some time before he came to check on us and we had to ask him for refills. When I got my salad, it was pitiful. The lettuce was wilted. I wasn’t overly concerned as the reason I came was for the hot roast beef. When he brought our plates ( both myself and my husband got the same thing), I was surprised. It didn’t look at all like what we had in the past. The bread was stale and thin. The meat…. I’m not sure what it was but it certainly didn’t taste like any roast beef I ever had. It was in big chunks and tasted inedible. The mashed potatoes tasted weird and old. There were actually raw chunky pieces in it. Neither one of us could eat our meals. The server was oblivious. Finally, I let him know that the food was terrible and all he said was do you want to order something else? I said no because we had already been there for over an hour. Our bill was 40 dollars for food that we didn’t even eat. I am terribly disappointed. We will...
Read moreI haven't been here in over 20 years, so we decided to meet here with some friends for dinner and drinks. We arrived around 4 pm on a Friday, and the restaurant was completely empty, which surprised us. After a few drinks are friends arrived. My wife and I ordered the steak burger with fries. The burger was a little small but tasted great. We both enjoyed it. The appetizers were good. Service was good. Beer prices were more expensive than most places we go to but the food prices were fair. Our group was there for almost 3 hours, drinking and having a great time. That whole time, there were only 2 other customers that came in. I couldn't believe it, on a Friday night this place was completely empty. I don't know why, everything was good. Maybe the beer prices keep the locals away. Well, my wife and I will be coming back more frequently. This could become our new local hangout. I also hear this place has an awesome breakfast. So i plan on trying that...
Read moreI'm going to be as honest as I can here. We had the steak burger and bison burger with fries, coleslaw and cottage cheese. First my water glass had lipstick marks on the edges. Second, we had to actually get up and grab a bottle of ketchup ourselves because the waitress (only one, slow night) was pretty preoccupied with clearing a couple of tables. Next, the steak burger is small for 8.50. Without a bun, it literally would be 3 bites and coincidentally enough, it was literally in pieces on the bun. Tasted good, but pricey for the size. The bison burger is a little greasy. Waitress forgot coleslaw and also informed us that they ran out of cottage cheese. Menu says that the burgers come with chips and pickles spear...we added fries but had to ask for the pickle spears. Enjoyed the flavors but was not impressed with the service or size/price. By far, the best part of our meal was the...
