Overboard Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Erie Township

We have been here a few times. With as much as I ADORE the atmosphere and drinks, the owners attitude and SLOW service is the reason for the 2 star rating. We were there for almost half an hour and had to go ask for a server. We were on the patio as the inside was SWAMPED, but there were other diners there also. Once our order was put in it took over an hour for our to be brought out. Our server apologized all over herself several times, but we knew it was not her fault. She was constantly checking our ticket for us. After the hour mark she said we had another 15 minutes, so my husband asked to speak Corey, the owner, as we had chatted with him during previous visits had had a bit of a report with. He magically appeared before even 5 minutes passed, and when we asked what the issue was he just said we serve fresh not frozen so it takes longer and left. Arrived here at 1:28 in the afternoon. I was with a group of 6, so we decided to go sit on the patio to eat. The picnic table that we selected, is almost falling apart, but it was the only table with an umbrella. After waiting 10 minutes, we were finally able to get some drinks ordered. Another 15 mins later we finally received our drinks and were given our slips to fill out for our order. Another 30 mins go by, so we decided to go into the bar to give them our slips. As we sat and waited, we noticed other people, that came in after us, receiving their meals while we still waited. We finally got our food at 3:18. The food was decent, not as good as I had hoped. Free standing building off a main road and easily seen. Has it's own parking lot with plenty space and an entrance that's handicapped accessible as well. Great live entertainment on weekends with surrounding local artists with the atmosphere as if you was visiting one of the local islands. Bright colors with a good mix of light and dimness and neat tables that look like surf boards as tables with public restrooms. Wait time for service was less than 2 minutes and very friendly and welcoming! The only thing as a non drinker ,thier pop was more expensive than buying a 2 liter and was fountain pop at that.
