We ate here for the first time last night, a Saturday. We arrived around 7:40 and fully anticipated a lengthy wait, which we were totally fine with. We drove about 40 minutes to get here as it was recommended by someone. We were sat at 8:10, and about ten minutes later our drink order was taken. We waited 25 minutes to then receive our drinks, and another five to have our order taken. So, at that point, it was after 8:45 and we had waited AT the table for as long as we waited FOR our table... and hadn’t even put in our order yet.
Our waitress apologized and mentioned a couple times how busy it was (which, again, we anticipated) but meanwhile, she was being very attentive to two close by tables. One was 6 people, all older adults. One was 4 people, all older adults. My boyfriend and I (mid 20s) are VERY used to being treated as less than priority by waitresses, presumably due to our age and the assumption we won’t tip as well, but last night was an entirely new level. She had checked on the two tables nearby 3 times while we were waiting on our drinks and order to be taken - it clearly wasn’t a “too busy” issue.
Then, we got our food... very quickly, which was great.. but it was terrible. My chicken chunks were so burnt they literally hurt my teeth to bite into, and meat was filler heavy. My boyfriend got the perch and scallops, not realizing the scallops were frozen and fried. I’m really surprised they charge $24.50 for that meal, considering we could’ve had a higher quality, better tasting meal at a highway diner for less than $25 TOTAL. My nearly inedible meal and our less than refreshing drinks that took 25 minutes to get cost us $60.... for greasy, fried, burnt food and super sub par service. Bleh.
Patio is great, but certainly not worth the price...
Read moreTL;DR: Food good, but poor service, unnecessary extended waits, and lackluster staff/manager make this a no-go for me.
This restaurant came highly recommended to me as a great place to dock your boat and enjoy a beer and a good sandwhich. However, my experience was far from this.
We waited about 30 minutes for a seat, which wouldn't have been a big deal, except that they were only about half full - the hostess informed us they weren't even seating in parts of the restaurant indoors because of low staff. Okay, weird, but whatever. Not a big deal.
We got our drinks and placed our order. It took a full 30 minutes for our appetizers to come out (which, for the record, did taste good). It was nearly another 45 minutes before our food came out! We watched several tables of other patrons show up, get set served, and leave in the time that we waiting for our orders. When I went in and got the manager who was tending bar, she just said "let me go see" and walked into the kitchen, never to be seen again.
Our waitress almost completely avoided us in this time, as well - drinks went unfilled for more than 30 minutes for our table of 5, while the party of 8+ next to us was waited on hand and foot.
Finally our food came and it was in to-go boxes! Apparently our waitress or the manager misinterpreted our request to expedite our orders after 50 minutes as "please give us our food to-go" - that, or they just wanted us gone.
Ultimately, I wouldn't be sitting here writing a negative review if our waitress or the manager would have taken 10 seconds to talk to us and apologize...
Read moreI have never been treated so rude by any hostess, ever. While on vacation, we thought that we may eat at Webber's for our dinner. When we pulled up, there were many people standing outside, so I went in just to ask what the wait time was. This place is about 50 feet inside of the hostile territory known as Michigan. I stepped into the entryway, where there were no people, and where the hostess was stationed. I covered my face with my hat and said, Excuse me, ma'am?" Immediately I was harshly scorned that I needed a mask on to be in the establishment. I pointed to my hat covering my face. Very rudely I was told, "that's not a mask! You need to have a mask on to come in here. Go outside!" I very politely said, "Nevermind, my family and I will spend our money elsewhere," and I left. You could not pay me to darken the door of this establishment, even if they were the only place to eat and I was starving. I would dive their dumpster before entering their establishment, but from the reviews, I don't think that the food from their dumpster would taste any different than the food they serve inside. The only difference would be that the service and staff would be better at the dumpster. They have long waiting times, not because the food is good, but because the...
