1st Republic Brewing — Restaurant in Essex

One of my favorite microbreweries in Vermont. The way I describe this place is like going to Cheers in Boston “where everyone knows your name”! The beers are awesome, the place is comfortable and has a nice ambiance, people are friendly and most importantly they love dogs. Yeah very dog friendly establishment which is cool to see.

For beer drinkers and home brewers, this store is a treasure. The proprietors are wonderful friendly and knowledgeable about the beers you're tasting or ingredients for brewing. Their love beer is infectious. I can think of few better ways to spend an afternoon than going to the store. These guys brew their own beer with a casual tap room and, I believe, they have about 8 different beers on tap. Couches, tables, foosball table, games and wooden barrels all around make the decor feel inviting with plenty of spots to place your beverage and ways to entertain yourself.
