I don’t know where to begin with this review! I (groom) was charged with the task of figuring out the cake for the wedding day. I had no idea where to begin searching. I even made the mistake of putting it off, so many of the bakeries were booked up or charging a ridiculous price for the cake and we were on a SERIOUS budget! I looked up some local bakeries and to my surprise there was one located in my neighborhood (the next street over in fact). Saba and her daughter were incredibly professional and so helpful with making our wedding day cake. They made this part of the wedding planning process the easiest. I had so many questions and they had answers to all of them. They gave us so many options for cake design and took into consideration our suggestions from what we found on Pinterest. The day of the wedding was so crazy and busy, they even offered to deliver the cake to the venue for us to ensure that it arrived safely. They were on time and handled the cake with such care. Saba has one of the best home bakeries in Columbus! She handles her business with so much care and prioritizes using high quality and natural ingredients. Her cakes are so lightweight and not filled with high amounts of sugar like most places these days—especially vegan bakeries who often overload their cakes with lots of sugar to compensate for the lack of animal products. My favorite cakes from Romy’s Bakery include her carrot cake and (vegan) coconut cake. Her mille-feuille/napoleon cake is also top notch! Saba is very open to customization (in flavor and design) of her cakes based on her customers preferences especially those who may have dietary restrictions. Hands down the best bakery!! Their homemade Italian buttercream frosting and chocolate cake is amazing. My daughters love the cake and their unicorn birthday cake was wonderfully designed just like the way we wanted it. They do not put too much of the food coloring. As a mom, I trust this bakery for my family’s big special occasions or just treats. They have the best customer service, give attention to every detail and go out of their way to make sure everything went well. The owner of the bakery always takes her time to call and check.
