Los maguey mex rest — Restaurant in Eton

I hate leaving bad reviews but after about 4 times, it is necessary. I gave Los Maguey one last chance and I regret it. The staff and service is always impeccable. They're friendly and respectful and always accommodating. The food though...no. I have added photos of the Maguey nachos. I also had a grilled chicken nachos and a fajita chicken nachos that looked the same. The beef nachos supreme was fine. It's always the grilled chicken. It is saturated with seasoning so heavily that it is inedible. And the grease is unreal. I have tried several different items over a year or so and anything with grilled chicken cannot be eaten. It is too heavily seasoned, to the point the cheese dip looks like Velveeta from the orange seasoning floating in it and it's extra greasy. The photos aren't edited. It shows how the cheese looks and also it was almost burnt. I won't try them again. I officially give up. Food is too expensive to have to throw it away without enjoying it. I'm disappointed and was left hungry but I can say I tried with Los Maguey. They failed...

Loved the music. The food..... not so much. Kinda was like left over food that was heated up in the microwave to be honest. Not the fresh grilled chicken that was advertised. The chicken was dried out and you could tell it was not freshly made, it was also in little tiny pieces mostly burnt up. The shrimp was rubber like it had been reheated.... yuck!!!!! The rice was so mushy and sticky I scrapped it up with a spoon as a joke to show the waiter how gross it was. My pet peeve. .....red burrito sauce on the burrito and enchilada is a no, no, no!!!!! Enchilada sauce is diffrent I'm sorry and I hate it when they don't have a different sauce for it other than the same as they put on the burrito. That's not authentic in way form or fashion I'm sorry. My wife said the sauce wasn't that great either. No flavor but HOT with some kind of spice. The chips and salsa were the only thing that was really good, and they were great but that was where it all went away!! Do yourself a favor and pass this place by. I'd rather eat Taco...

UPDATE!!!!!!!! I have always liked Maguey's but today just ruined me. My girlfriend ordered a #23 combo and I got chicken nachos to go. Got there and the food was ready to go as usual but when we got home and started to eat, both of our dishes tasted like someone dumped a whole tub of salt on both dishes. My chicken nachos were supposed to have white cheese sauce but it was like a white salty water that soaked everything. I also found a bone in my food but that happens from time to time with chicken so that is no big deal. It has been a great place to eat but I do not know if I will go back. Update!!! 11/11/23 Went today with a big group of folks and had an amazing experience!!! Really top notch service from our server, great guy, great attitude and fantastic memory. He was very attentive and was just an overall good server!! I wish I had caught his name so that he could get the recognition he deserves! Five...
