THIS SECOND TIME I came in last week bartender was touching different thing's. DID NOT WASH HANDS, what is really where she licked her fingers before she made a drink for the customer. Putting a big round ice cube in glass. WITH HER FINGERS THAT SHE JUST LICKED. And served customer!! Also, another bartender SEEN this. But did not say a word NASTY NASTY!!!! The bartender that made the drink. Has been working at iron works for some time. But she still doesn't know what is the difference. Between unhealthy and healthy service. I have worked for 8 years as a bartender. Even took class with the health department on services. In Arizona it mandatory!! Definitely iron works needs the health department services, give lessons on these does and don'ts. Nothing much has changed, STILL THE SAME OLD THINGS GOING ON HERE. As far as the newmers poor NEW reviews posted. NEW OWERS BUT STILL REALLY UNHEALTHY FOOD SERVICE!!!! ALONG WITH TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! It makes you think how clean is that kitchen? If UNHEALTHY practices are belatedly over looked. JUST SAYING!! FIRST VISIT! My son and I came in for dinner. All beware this is not a place to go for hospitality. And low prices, especially on Italian night. Unfortunately for this night no menu or even pricing. And it seems they take full advantage! Dublin or even triple the price. Even disrespectfully dishing out extremely small portion. In a tiny little salad bowl. I was not surprised when the fettuccine was cold. Had the nerve to go so far as to charging outrageous price of $17. The fettuccine was Bland had no taste to it. Cook definitely needs to go take cooking lessons. Hospitality was was nonexistent, definitely needs to be trained. In the various techniques of hospitality. In another areas, we're forced to stand there for at least 10 to 12 minutes. No sign to indicate self-setting. As waitress and bartender went by with no acknowledgement!! we're not the only customers. That receive the lack of attention. Customer after customer in the same disrespectfully rude 10 minute to 15 minute wait. Not even being acknowledged. It took awhile for the waitress to come and acknowledges us. And finally take us to our table. It takes 20 minutes goes by. Finally waitress took our order. And as soon as we were served. She soon began her long conversations with her friends. Never once coming to our table to ask if we needed anything. Or even a how was our meal? Too much time fraternization, not enough time on professionalism!! I excused myself my son paid the bill. It came to $80 total and $17 dollars just for the fettuccine. I was livid, son didn't tell me the cost until we got home. I rushed back to the restaurant. I showed the picture of the dishe of fettuccine, showing the tasteless small portion. Along with lacking professionalism. I WAS LOUDLY COMPLAINING. The unprofessional ,fraternizing, definitely not wanting to do her job waitress appeared. The gentleman that my son is even though the service was bad. Still kind enough, but definitely not earned. gave a 11 dollar tip the waitress, at least she did admit that it was a very small portion. And it was cold also it was the last of the pre-cooked fettuccine. My son and I feel totally taken advantage of. I did insist compensation from them. With fettuccine on their face, nothing really to say. They relented and give us a $20 gift certificate. I still believe that that waitress should have given back the $11tip. I have previewed past reviews from this establishment. And I have read I am not alone when it comes to my review. I see numerous customers complaints. Even going so far as one review even had a complaint. About taking very large and orders receives payment. But the customers never received the food. I even read that they spoke to the owner, the and owner said he would take care of it. But instead used tactics such as avoidance. Also stating there's nothing he can do!!! Basically gaslighted the unsatisfied customers. Be very careful!! when you come to this...
Read moreOn my recent trip, I was driving the Cherohala skyway and several other mountain scenic roads. This was a destination place for us to stop, relax, and get a good bite to eat. The picturesque restaurant with outdoor seating around the river in a nice air-conditioned dining room made it the perfect spot to relax.
There was plenty of parking in the parking lot as well as a reserved area for motorcycles only. This is located across the street from the iconic Cherehala Harley-Davidson shop.
Having come the day before a national holiday, it looked like they were short-staffed. Though we were seated instantly and our server, Ashlynn was very attentive. Our drinks came out super fast, which was great for I parked to throats from the sunshine and hot weather outside.
We didn't go in for a fancy meal. All we wanted was a burger and a fry meal. We ordered as soon as our drinks came out since we already knew what we wanted.
There were at least six other tables on the inside dining and several outdoor tables by the river. It was nice watching the river tubing people floating by as we waited for our meal.
While the rest of the tables around us were served, are meals seem to be taking an extended period of time to come out for such a simple order. Ashlynn came with drink refills and explained that the outdoor tables were filled and there only one kitchen for the two seating areas. Along with being late in the afternoon service time, there was limited staffing to handle so many tables.
It took us another 10 minutes to get our meals. The reputation for great burgers did not let us down. The fries were outstanding. I'm not sure what they did to him, but they were great! The burger was cooked perfectly and the bun was soft, with a light toasting. All the condiments were already on the table. The plate featured Pickle spear to accompany the burger and piping hot fries.
How much is say more about the food of the man that was tasty, hot and we left filled and happy. Waiting in the air conditioning was not a problem since we had been driving all day long and didn't mind the wait.
If you're up driving the roads in the area, this is a place for you to stop and enjoy and...
Read moreI have literally never left a restaurant without eating, but Iron Works Grille forced me. We waited an hour and a half for food we found out was never put in, then they actually charged us for drinks and an appetizer as we left.
It was last Monday for lunch. Our party of 4 sat outside. We ordered appetizers and entrees and enjoyed the atmosphere. We get drinks (flat Dr. Pepper from lack of cleaning) and our appetizer in a timely manner, then we waited and waited and waited.
A little over an hour into waiting, our waitress comes by and assures us that while our food did get entered into the kitchen, she was confused because it looked like we had already paid our tab, because the order was missing from the POS system. No doubt, though, our food order made it to the kitchen. Our appetizer got there, so of course it did! No problem! We're patient.
Another 20-30 minutes go by, and we see tables leaving who sat down after us, so we decide to ask questions. As it turns out, during that 20-30 minutes, our server had not gone back to check on our food, and our food order had in fact, not been put in with the kitchen.
At this point, we have to eat. It's pushing 2PM, so we told her that we have to go. She proceeds to charge us! When one person in our party says "You're going to charge us after we waited an hour and a half for food that was never put in?!" She gets very loud and yells "It's not my fault!" Well, it sort of IS your fault, but we paid and left. We got a great burger at Tellico Beach with great service despite a crowd!
You make someone wait an hour and a half for food that didn't check on, you assure them their food is coming, you never deliver food, I feel like you can comp drinks and an appetizer. We were regulars, and this experience will cost Iron Works Grille more than the $30 you got out of...
