Midway Milkshake — Restaurant in Etowah

So let's start by saying very good job midway.....now the review, they've not been open real long but they're doing well, nothing really I can be negative about, wait time for a delecious cheese burger and a tasty pep pizza was less than 15min from order to eating.....for those that haven't been here, it's covered outside seating with no enclosure so mind the weather for your visit, the place has a little bit of hometown charm with that kinda fun with outdoor atmosphere....the burger was Benton's burger with the famous/infamous Benton's bacon, burger itself was decent sized patty cooked spot on to med well, crispy edges like a good burger should have, clean lettuce good red tomatoes slices and the perfect slice size of onion, it was hot, moist, delecious (cause bacon makes everything better lol), no the pizza pie, had a nice firm toasted crust, very mild but delecious red sauce, enough cheese to happily clog an artery (joking), the pizza has a really nice eerily close to authentic Italian taste (yes I've been to Italy and had pie) was served hot melty and delecious with peppercinis, my tots with the burger where deep fried to golden perfection.....so all in all a great review, as stated they haven't been open real long so all the negative comments, I challenge you to do better opening a new restaurant and dialing it in, they've done really well in a short period.....overall review A++, great home town place so c'mon out and support, will most definitely be back, and prices for a burger pie tots and a coke where about on par with about any restaurant, I don't feel their prices where overly inflated in this economy and for those of you familiar with Benton's bacon, yeah, that ain't cheap Walmart bacon so happy to pay a teensie but extra for that salty smoked thick stripped heavenly pig product.......good job midway folks, your...

We ordered a combo with is an add on for 5.00 extra (coke and fries) and 10.00 for the jalapeno burger so we wanted to substitute the drink and pay the difference for the shake but in their eyes you pay 5.00 extra for making it a combo and 8.00 more for the shake which I’m not stupid I know they would’ve been a difference in the price like everywhere else ok then I talked to them about it and they acted like I was completely stupid but yet my shakes was never handed to me until I finally got their attention and got them also the food portion is ridiculous and it’s not worth the price I had 2 different orders one was right at 30.00 and the 2 order was 42.00 now with that being said they just lost a customer and I won’t recommend to anyone

Reply to the owner NO we did not get a discount the shake was 8.00 and they was not gonna give us a drink until I requested it because I was gonna have to pay full price for the shake which I did and I had them to give me the combo drink since I paid for it and the milk shake so you can speak to your staff if you want to but I took the receipt to them and asked about it I was gonna pay the difference the for the shake but whatever you wanna think but your staff was lying and I never once wanted anything for free and believe me I just won’t be coming back and I’ve spread the word on the prices and how our experience was it’s my opinion and my experience there that I had that’s what reviews are for I mean 6.00 for a hot dog or corn dog...

We've been here twice now and we've not been disappointed. We arrived fifteen minutes before closing time tonight and they cheerfully took care of us making a vanilla and chocolate shake even though everything looked broken down and ready to close and go home. This is our new favorite place to get an ice cream treat. We will be back. Often.....

April 2023 Update

Stars changed from all fives to what you now see.

Tonight we went for cones. We are noticing a recurring theme. This is the third time in a row we've waited seemingly forever in the drive thru for simple cones. Multiple vehicles waiting multiple times. Tonight there were no waffle cones of any kind / size available. Ice cream was only available in a cup. Ever tried to eat a cup of ice cream and drive?!? Sorry but regardless of how good the ice cream is, it's no longer worth the twenty plus minute wait. I can get to DQ in Athens and back in that time...which is what we will do going forward.
