Warning to all who dare to eat at this restaurant anytime soon.
Be prepared to wait.
We arrived at 7:36 and were seated around 8:00, which isn’t too bad considering it was a party of 5. We ordered food at appx. 8:20 and then the wait began. Not only did we wait for over an hour and a half, but during that wait we had to search for our waiter and request refills of our drinks and chips. Sometimes going more than 15 minutes at a time with empty cups and baskets. Most of the food finally arrived at our table at about 9:45. This was after another one of the waitress came by the table to see if we would like to order anything else and we informed her that we still hadn’t been served. 4 out of 5 meals came first but only 2 of them were complete. The tacos were missing all of the condiments, and the meat was heavily over cooked and contained gristle. The spinach enchiladas were missing the rice and most of their toppings, and when I asked about them I was informed that my meal didn’t come with them. (I checked the menu, and it did in fact come with those items, apparently the waiter just didn’t know?) Also, the enchiladas I was served were on a hot plate, but were already cold in the middle. The number 19 combo that was ordered (it was complete at least) was room temperature at it’s warmest. The final dish arrived after most of us had already completed our food (about 10-15 minutes after) Drink refills even after our food was served still had to be requested (they weren’t offered) when we occasionally were able to catch a view of our waiter (apparently he didn’t believe in well checks). After waiting to be seated, waiting to be waited on, and waiting on our incomplete and cold food, we once again had to wait 10-15 minutes after our plates had been cleared to finally pay the check and leave. I got a chance to speak with the “Manager” about the experience we had that night and she informed us that it was the slowest, least busy, and best night they had had yet and that the service we had received was an improvement over past evenings. The best experience was the the lady who brought us chips and dip and cleared our table. She was prompt, clean, kind, and very understanding of our frustration. (She is the one who brought the manager over for us.)
Also the table beside us was seated before we were and ordered before our table did, but was informed when we were leaving that their food hadn’t been started yet, after having waited for over 2 hours with their children with them they left without having ever been served. I’m grateful that at least we didn’t have quite THAT bad of an experience.
I hope that this restaurant survives because we really need somewhere to go eat in Euharlee but if they continue down the current path, with mediocre food, useless wait staff, and a complacent manager. They will...
Read moreMy husband and I are here right after they opened, and everything was pretty good. The service was ok but they did just open so I expected to wait a bit. Food at that time was great.. I bragged to my family about how good the food was and that we should go there since we were in that area. I will never go back after our last visit. There was 10 of us and it started out pretty good got our drinks and order taken right away.. they kept up with filling drinks and chips. He is the problem, we all got our food except for my grandson he was 8 and hungry. After about 10 minutes waiting for his food the owner comes by and asks if everything is ok. No I said my grandson does not have his food. She brings it out right away. Ok I'll give her that. However when he attempted to eat he said it smells funny my husband, daughter and son in law proceed to smell it.. it was disgusting and spoiled. I immediately went to the bar where 3 workers were hanging out and proceeded to get them to smell this burger.. of course they smelled what we did. Unacceptable I said. Remove it from our bill. The owner returned to the table with another burger from the freezer saying it was perfectly fine and she would make him another one. No not gonna happen all of our appetites were ruined at that point. They justified the burger saying that it was probably from them cleaning the grill and maybe it got on the burger. Who says that. SERIOUSLY. The waitress brought our checks unaware of the situation and the burger was still on the check. She seemed frustrated or irritated not sure which. Oh but we were offered a 10% discount on our next visit.. There will not be...
Read moreI'm a bit biased as I'm related to the owner but I do not get the opportunity to frequent the establishment often as I live out of state. I recently visited the restaurant on 11/20/2022, after a 2 year hiatus.
A lot of the rough edges you find with a new restuarsnt opening have been worked out and the place is at its peak. I can say that the food is amazing and you cannot find anything like it in Florida. The cheese dip is creamy and good and the fajitas beat out anything from a boxed restaurant like Chilies.
Being related to the owner, I get an inside scoop on ingredient selection. She tests every cheese she can to find one that is good and will not have a cheap aftertaste like those from many restaurants. The same care goes into the produce selection as she hand picks the produce from the Atlanta farmers market herself.
The service is decent and is what you can expect from any high volume Mexican restaurant thus a 4 out of 5. What makes this place different is that the owner will go out of her way to ensure you have an amazing experience. She provides the best food for the price, and trust me, she lives to keep her customers happy. I suggest that if you are dining there, ask for Anna Reyes herself as she loves meeting new people and saying hi to the regulars. You may just find her serving tables or even cooking as she puts a lot of care into...
