Stopped here on my way doing the GDMBR. I was hungry. The food was over cooked. I got the Philly cheese steak w tater tots, onion rings, and French onion soup. I also order 2 beers. Before going to get some stuff from my bike, before I found there are specials! Beer specials, food specials, I would have gotten both. My server had no idea about them. Had no idea if the sockets outside worked. She also couldn't name me a beer. Whatever I was hungry. Got my food it was sorry affair. Au jus was forgotten everything deep fried was to deep fried. Once I got my food, I had to go inside(I was sitting on the patio) to get more beer and food. All in all. I got the special lasagna, the Philly cheese steak, French onion soup, a side of onion rings, 2 huck it beers, 2 hay something beers. None of it was worth it. I mean the beer was good. Go somewhere else.

Trappers Saloon is the quintessential Montana Saloon. Full bar with a vast beer selection from Montana breweries. The burgers were great with large serving sizes and a varied menu with something for everyone, including picky eaters. They have a casino, arcade games, large TV's with different live sports games, and horseshoe pits. The outside seating, stage, and bars provide even more space to enjoy your visit. Service was great and the staff friendly and attentive. Clean and well arranged. Also, the barstools, as silly as it sounds, rocked! They were comfy, sturdy and would fit an NFL player. Add this place to your next visit to the area. It was well worth the hour drive to get there. *Try the hand battered mushrooms - Yum!

Trapper's is one of our family's favorite places to eat. We drive more than 60 miles one way to dine here. Great menu, great food, fully stocked bar and great place to watch sports. The owner made it right by taking it off our bill, but the cook refused to sear our $15 steak appetizer, which was undercooked for our taste. Everything else we had exceeded our expectations. But because of this pretentious, loud-mouth cook who argued with our server "that's the way it comes," I will not give it a five star rating. The customer's request should be honored...

In the last month we have come here 2 times and the food was great. Today or food was very disappointing and not the same. I usually get the chicken strips since they started doing them homemade with a nice lite coating of batter and the fries fantastic as well. This time the coating was heavy and both the chicken and fries were with ALOT of pepper. I could only eat one chicken strip and part of the fries. The other meal we ordered today was the salad with grilled salmon. The salmon was heavily purported as well but at least that was easier to scrape off. The waitress was nice but never offered us a drink refill and after all that pepper refills would've been nice. The whole place was full of flies to the point we had to cover our food with napkins...
