We got a chance to sneak in here tonight 20 minutes before they closed! The owner was there, and he was the best:) We were so excited to be there that I didn't take any pictures as I got caught up in conversation with the owner. It was a great convo, btw😁Just about the store, when they opened and all the fun things about opening it and what's to come. It was just the owner and 1 other teenage male working there. The teenager was very kind, attentive, and patient as we asked for lots of samples, lol. We got cotton candy, smores, mint chocolate chip. We also tried their limoncello, strawberry, and blueberry sorbet. We got some chocolate chip cookies and got to take home some of their firecracker pretzels. 😋 There are tables inside and a few tables outside. There is jenga and corn hole outside to play. It's just a cute summery place to be. I'm so happy we came in tonight. It was the perfect way to end the night:) Most places try and rush you out at closing time, but this place is different. We felt welcomed, more like an old friend you haven't seen in a long time, and your happy you bumped into each other and hope it happens more often type of vibe💜 Another reason why we will keep coming back here is the owner recognized us. It had been at least 6 or 8 months when I first visited the town and wondered into the Gal and Goat Mercantile. I bought some tea there, a stroople waffle filled with caramel and looked around the cute store. The store was packed, so I really didn't think the owner would remember me or my kids, especially since we don't live there and had never been there. But he did, and he specifically remembered that my daughter was the one that wanted the stropple waffle. It was genuine,kind, and honest💜 Can't wait...
