Taqueria Rio Verde — Restaurant in Eustis

These guys are absolutely top tier and one of the only good parts about even being in Altoona. I always have an amazing experience when I eat here, very seldom will I ever "happy dance" if I take a bite of ANYTHING but this stuff always hit that mark, THE CHICKEN QUESADILLA ESPECIALLY! I love spicy food and this place delivers well with their red sauce, but the true flavor experience comes from the green sauce, real good compliment!

If you order to go it always comes wrapped nicely in foil, and food is always served on foam plates which while some people may take issue with that, doesn't in the slightest make the food less appealing. As a local, I can verify this is hands down the best food in our little corner of the backwoods

Now all I gotta do is figure out what those white circle rings things are that they use in some dishes provided. Got a flavor like pickled onions but the texture...

I don't give 5 stars very often, but this was so freaking good. We just came to the area to paddle and took a chance. Man, are we glad we did! My Carnitas were fantastic. Moist but not messy, and that green sauce was spot on. My husband loved his steak tacos as well and suggested we grab burritos after our paddle for dinner. Also noticed that most others ordered these giant fruit drinks that we'll be rehydrating later with as well. Can't...

The food was unfortunately pretty mediocre. My meal had barbacoa and my boyfriend's had chicken. The meat in both meals tasted old or maybe just cheap... To the point that I wasn't 100% confident I should eat it. Everything else in our burrito bowls tasted fine but didn't blow us away. However the man who took our order was incredibly friendly. And both the red and green salsa were bangin - definitely the best part of either...
