Main Street Diner — Restaurant in Evant

The other day while I was getting my nails done I met a young lady that lived in Evant. She told me that her mother and she owned a cafe there. When I left I said that I would come try it if I came thru Evant . Well, yesterday, we decided to take a road trip to eat at her cafe. It was well worth the time, the food was fantastic, the cafe was clean and Nelly,the young lady's name, was so sweet . We had chicken fried steak and a club sandwich, with a side of the best onion rings that I have ever had..All under $20.00...I suggest that you take time, and take a road trip to the MAIN STREET DINER in EVANT,TX.. you won't be...

Stopped in this diner on the way back into San Antonio and it was a great decision! The staff and locals dining there were really nice, it made the atmosphere a welcoming one. The onion rings, fries, burgers and chicken tenders were all on point. Tasted just the way it should and the portions were generous. I would 100% percent drive back in my free time to eat here again. I cook for a living and this place won me over. I haven't had good diner food like this since the pig stand....(rip pigstand....you are missed)... this is a new favorite spot for me! Yall...

I took my mamaw here for lunch and the servers were so rude to us. The food wasnt horrible but my burger patty tasted frozen. Our ticket was brought with the food and no one offered to refill our drinks. Our server was nowhere to be found. We waited for our server so we could ask but she had disappeared. So we asked for refills from another server who was in turn rude to us. If I'd know they were so rude to folks that aint local, we wouldnt have drove 30min...
