Snickers Pizza Shop - Eveleth — Restaurant in Eveleth

Stayed in Eveleth as we were heading to Giant's Ridge the next day. We were traveling with our pup so looked for places that offered delivery to the hotel.

We weren't quite sure where to start, so went through the guest directory in the hotel and came across Snickers Pizza Shop. They had a rather robust menu, it all sounded delicious (we were pretty hungry 😅) but settled on Meat Lover's pizza (medium), one pound of traditional wings tossed in Bacon Sriracha, and mini corn dogs.

Now, I hope you can understand what I am going to say next. You know how you can go to a place and the food just tastes better compared to at home or another restaurant? I don't know if it's a more seasoned appliance or what, but the food was flavorful and delicious.

Corn dogs had the right level of crunch/toasted-ness, not a single spot of the wings was without sauce and came with a decently sized side of ranch, pizza toppings were flavorful and seasoned to perfection (you know how some places it just, the pizza is just missing something... that wasn't the case here) the cheese to sauce ratio was on point 🥰

Delivery Experience: We visited in late March, no crazy winter weather, their delivery was super punctual and the food was hot. The fella who delivered was friendly and kind.

We used to give this 5 stars. Over the last few months, their food quality has gone down hill fast. Particularly their pizza. The last time we ordered, it was pure slop. Didn't even resemble a normal snickers pizza. Not even close. It was all sauce, with very little toppings thrown into the center, and very very sparse cheese. It was a gooey, under done mess. Every restaurant can have a bad night, understandingly. I've heard the same from neighbors and friends. Same slop. Now the frozen pizzas??? Opted to buy those instead, as they are consistently good. Not anymore!!!! Something terribly off with the crust.. could break a tooth on the consistentcy. Only the very center had cheese. Maybe a very light sprinkle. Not the norm at all.. What Is going on there? I have nothing but high praise for the friendly fun loving staff. Just disappointed in the quality of the pizza they are best known for, they are sub par...

The BEST pizza on The Range, hands down! We also love their fries, mini tacos and several other items on the menu. Service is always fast, and staff is friendly and courteous. Prices are fair as well! Even when I lived in the cities for 20 years, every time we came back home for visits or holidays, we always stopped at Snickers with the family for pizza. I can't think of one time where my order was wrong, either, and sometimes we ask for modifications. It's hard to find that kind of attention to detail anywhere these days! Occasionally we still eat inside Snickers, in the upstairs/alley entrance dining area. It's been remodeled over the years, but while it's nothing fancy, it always seems clean. No complaints since 1998! I hope they never change their recipe, and I'll keep coming back until...
