★★★★★ Food quality ★★★★★ Service ★★★★★ Ambiance ★★★★☆ Value ★★★★★ Menu selection ★★★★☆ Location/Accessibility ★★★★★ Overall experience I had been craving for a tasty sub sandwich for quite some time, and thankfully, my colleague PS just happened to order from Penn Station for lunch today. This piqued my interest, so I picked his brain about his experience. After weighing my options and hearing about his gargantuan 2000-calorie lunch featuring a large Cheesesteak sub sandwich and a large drink, I opted for a healthier choice: the vegetarian Grilled Artichoke sandwich paired with a side of small fries and a small drink. The online ordering process was speedy and hassle-free. Upon arriving at the restaurant a bit earlier than the scheduled pickup time, I found only a couple of patrons already seated. A friendly young gentleman promptly greeted me and confirmed my online order. I didn't have to wait long at all before my order was ready, and I settled into a corner table to savor my meal. The sandwich came in a plain paper bag, and I could feel its warmth emanating from within. I ordered the Regular Grilled Artichoke sandwich with light mayo, extra fresh mushroom, no cheese, and multigrain bread. The sandwich was warm and exuded a delightful, earthy yet savory aroma. After taking my first bite, I immediately savored the unique flavor and texture of the grilled artichoke and the satisfying crunch of the bread. This was only my second time eating artichoke, the first time was in a creamy spinach artichoke dip that my coworker SS brought to a party, though I didn't have much of it because of all the cheese. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it. The grilled artichoke took it to another level, offering a fibrous yet tender bite with a light crunch. The mushroom wasn't very flavorful but contributed a rich, soft texture. The mayo sauce provided a bold yet honest finishing touch. The well-toasted multigrain bread had a crispy outer layer and a soft, absorbent inner layer that perfectly melded all of the ingredients together. Every bite of this sandwich was incredibly satisfying. The small fries were plentiful and stayed thin and crispy. I enjoyed them with ketchup, because let's be honest, fries go with pretty much anything. Every so often, I took a sip of the "Fresh Squeezed Lemonade," which, as far as I could tell, was not actually freshly squeezed and far from authentic. However, I didn't expect genuine, freshly squeezed lemonade from a fast food joint, so I didn't mind too much. It was cold and refreshing, with just the right amount of sweetness. It felt more like a soda drink than a juice drink. One of the staff member noticed me sitting alone in a quieter corner and struck up a pleasant conversation. I was surprised yet delight by this spontaneous and unscripted interaction. The restaurant itself is small but can seat around 20 people. Everything was clean and smelled fine. The decor primarily features images of sub sandwiches, which is to be expected. The counter has several shelves stocked with snacks and additional drinks. Although the food was delicious, I felt like the portions were a bit small for the price with the sandwich alone costing $10. However, I could tell that the food was made fresh and with care, so I was willing to pay a bit more for quality. Before leaving the restaurant, I decided to use the restroom to wash my hands. While it was clean, the soap dispenser was nearly empty. I made do with whatever soap I could get out of it and desperately looked for some paper towels, only to find that there were none. Luckily, my shirt came to the rescue, and I was able to dry my hands off before leaving. The parking lot was now quite crowded, and it was difficult to find a space. Overall, I had a great experience at Penn Station, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious sub sandwich. Special thanks to my coworker PS for walking me through the ordering process and recommending an item, even though I ultimately went for something completely different!

Emily D, who works at this Penn Station in Evendale, apparently doesn’t know how to put the right ingredients on a cold cut sub. Ordered a turkey avocado with extra ingredients and this was precisely 30 minutes before closing. I pick it up 20 mins later, then get home to discover there’s no lettuce, no roma tomatoes, no black pepper, no oregano. I couldn’t even taste oil and vinegar, but the multigrain was slightly soggy from the turkey and avocado. They didn’t even cut the sub. Not in half. No cut whatsoever. But hey, it had provolone, a couple trims of green pepper and red onions so I guess just ignore all the other mistakes. 🙃 If they don’t want to bother making a sub as requested through an online order, then why should I bother going to this Penn Station?

Update: Very inconsistent nowadays. HEAVILY Lacking in meat portioning 3/4 of the time. I always get a philly and i could not see a consistent layer of steak in any part of the sub. The picture show, it is quite weak. This used to be THE BEST Penn Station and now i usually steer clear or only go when i have a BOGO and even then, i am paying for bread.. The photos are 2 consecutive bites after eating mostly bread and mayo to begin with.

I placed an online order through Penn Station on their website. I received an order number and told me my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I head up there and when I tell them that I had an online order they informed me they didn’t have online order only a phone in. The first guy I was talking to told me that and it was a manager problem. Rudely! I go grab my phone and show them I placed the order with the confirmation. The girl working was nice looked at the confirmation and told them I had one and the store location was correct too. I open my bank app to see if the charge was on there and I have 2 charges for the same amount for Penn Station. The older man stated that didn’t matter and wouldn’t make the food telling me that does not mean we will get paid. I wasn’t about to charge my card for a third time so I left and got food from somewhere else. It’s now 24 hours later and the charges are still there. The dismissal of me, the charges and leaving there with no resolution and no food was ridiculous. Now I will call the bank to dispute the charges and probably never go back to this location. To tell someone that doesn’t mean we will get paid and to be dismissive of the order number and charges is ridiculous considering this is the main location I order from for the last 12 years The older gentleman has been there for some time because he is usually there when I order from...

This location is 5 minutes away from my home to me that’s perfect when I’m craving Penn Station. Unfortunately, I went into the location today, placed my order and began to wait. A female employee entered the building went to the register, clocked in and turned to the sandwich station. I got up and said, Excuse me, but are you going to wash your hands?” I said, “Please don’t touch no food and you haven’t washed your hands.”She looked at me and with a tone in her voice, “I’m not touching your sandwich.” So I replied, “You should not be back there after coming from outside and not washing your hands no sanitizer or nothing.” She then walked over by the drive thru window and just stood there talking to the manager who was just standing there playing different songs through the speaker from his phone. She walked back around the register again twice, first time to “grab” a cup the second time I said you still haven’t washed your hands, she was saying something I couldn’t understand but by this time the manager done stop messing with his phone and music selection and asked what’s going on. I told him and he told her to wash her hands. This female employee had the nerve to again have an attitude because he said wash her hands. A simple hand washing. The audacity, and you are working with...
