Cross Roads Diner — Restaurant in Evergreen Township

While the portions are decent size and good for the most part, I ordered a takeout order and after leaving and making it home, I was looking over my receipt. I noticed that I was charged for multiple things, instead of having them substituted. I called up there and asked if I got the heavenly hash without ham and subbed bacon, if that's something that's normally charged for, along with the other items and I was told no, I should not have been charged, but that the server was kind of newer and didn't know the whole system. I left a generous tip, being a server myself, I know the importance of checking the togo bags and making sure everything is correct, the server who took my order had seemed to do that. The lady that I spoke to after viewing my receipt, offered me a free dessert, next time I come... this wasn't a huge deal in the first place, but them offering a free dessert, that I essentially paid for already, was what upset me. I probably won't be back to get my free dessert, I was just hoping they would try to make it right by offering to remove the upcharges, or give me credit for them or something, but instead I'm offered a dessert and the server who messed up my order, still got a decent tip... it is was it is, but know I...

Many times now my family and I have tried to give this place a chance. Food is alright, the wait staff is something else. The waitress that wears pink and has pink in her hair. She needs an additude adjustment, and apparently decided to make a comment about me to my husband today when I exited the building. The other waitress had her hands full, but when other tables that come in after us get their food first. While my table had waited 45 minutes for two plates of food, and the waitress didn't write my order down so it got messed up. Okay, it happens. But when asked if I would like anything else to drink, and I asked for an ice tea. I was finished eating upon you coming back and remembering that I asked for the ice tea. I told you to forget about it, bringing it to me in a to go cup is not what I wanted. Then my husband still had to take the bill up because "Pinky" got offended that he told you not to talk...

My beef and bean wet burrito weighed almost as much as me! That thing was absolutely huge!! The picture doesn't do it justice. I ate three meals from it, and probably still had 1/4-1/3 of the burrito left. It was served HOT and delicious!

The salsa was super good, too. I didn't know what kind it was, but it wasn't the standard boring jar salsa.

We ordered the onion rings based on Google reviews. They were good, but not really special, other than the size. They are huge and served HOT!

What was special? The ranch! I am not a huge ranch fan like other people, but this ranch was different. It's like a ranch dip instead of a runny dressing.

My husband got fish and really liked it. He also got a very large portion.

$3+ for a pop seems a bit excessive.
