Brookside Market & Deli — Restaurant in Exeter

This place used to be really good....it's under new ownership and it is terrible now. When I first walked in, I waited at the food counter and the guy at the register just looked at me and then looked away. It was like he couldn't be bothered to ask if I needed anything or call for his co-worker to help me. So we both just stood there. he at the register and me at the deli. Finally I said after like 5 minutes or so....I'd like to get a couple sandwiches please. He then went out back then minutes later came out again....still no communication telling me anything. It was the most odd situation. A few minutes later another kid came out and asked what I wanted. I ordered two italian subs....now, I was virtually the only person in there and it took close to 20 minutes to get the sandwiches. To top it all off, I went to pay at the register and for two 10" italian subs, a 16oz soda and a bag of chips, it was $34! At this point I wasn't about to question this...I just wanted out of there. Now, I was telling myself that maybe the subs would be awesome and worth the money...they weren't. Low quality meat, and barely any... So the service was awful and the food wasn't good and expensive to boot! I would...

This place is poorly run by persons who have no business running store operations. Staff is unfamiliar with how to take care of the customer and provide a positive experience. They were standing around and reviewing sales slips until I asked where my order was that I ordered over 20 minutes prior. The store fans and vents were clogged with dirt and dust balls. The counters could use some cleaning, and they put their infant child on the counter where persons were picking up food. They need someone with management experience to show how a business is supposed to run. I found the pictures of the facility were untrue. A lot of the refrigerated cases were...

How do you guys have your hours open until 9? I have called on 3 separate occasions for a take out order and have called between 6:30pm and 7pm all 3 times to order a steak and cheese or other sandwiches and every time they say they can't make it because they shut down the grill and they can only make pizza. Either you should take everything off your menu except pizza or you should change your hours to close earlier. I would understand if I called at like 8:30pm or 8:45pm and they said this but I am calling 2 hours or more before you guys close. The previous owners never did this. I guess you have to call when they first open to secure...
