This restaurant is located in an old motel. Obviously the motel failed and the restaurant is there now. Upon entering a Spanish man in cowboy attire (which was really good.) told us it was $17 per person. All three of us paid and were seated almost immediately.
The waitress asked us what drinks we wanted. All three of us got water. The food is served buffet style and boy is it good! I tried to eat a little of everything. I'm the kind of guy that can keep going. 1 plate, 2 plate, 3 plate 4. 4 is usually where I stop. Unfortunately there is no menu so you won't know what half the food is. Some is obvious like spanish rice and refried beans. There is also some deep fried fish. They cook the fish whole!
This building was packed. We got there at about noon and left around 12:35. When we got there the place was packed. When we left the line was out the front door and in the parking lot! The building was also 95% Mexican which makes sense, since the food is Mexican.
The food itself was unbelievable. Very spicy and filling. If you don't like spicy you won't like this place. I still implore you to try this place.
Some other observations, it's very crowded and decrepit but thats because it used to be a hotel. All in all this place is a five star buffet and 5 star buffets are few and...
Read moreLots of things I like about this place and things that I didn't particularly care for.first of all the food is exceptionally tasty. A wide variety of dishes from stewed chicken gizzards to chile rellenos a,pork stew taquitos empanadas rice charro beans, chilaquiles fried tilapia and by fried tilapia I mean the whole fish. There's a nice selection of condiments as cream onion spicy guacamole salsa red pepper salsa cilantro a couple kinds of fresh cut fruit as well there are Mexican breads / pastries a big vat of stewed shrimp a big vat of menudo stew and a hot chocolate sauce for the pastries. I enjoyed the food very very much. The place was not what I thought when I arrived it appears to be located in an old and I mean old car dealership. It's a bit run down although relatively clean inside it's quite messy.what my real pet peeve is is there are no restrooms to go and wash your hands before you eat. The thought of everyone in there and it was crowded not being able to wash their hands before they eat and go to the buffet is a little bit disgusting. That's what stops me from giving this place five stars. I'll be back for sure, I'll just use my right hand to serve myself at the buffet in my left...
Read moreVery good buffet, the price is reasonable and the food is good, especially the fried fish, it is excellent, very crispy and the taste is just right. They are very busy most of the time, the waitress running around nonstop picking plates, they run pass my table like once every 5 minutes. There are some downside, the restaurant is relatively small so it feel very crowded and it is very common for them to have no empty table. They also don't take card, it...
