The Flatlanda Diner in Fairfield serves up some mighty fine breakfast. Up to visit some friends, a couple of us stopped in for a bite to eat. We enjoyed looking at the many old license plates decorating the walls and wherever else they could fit them. The coffee was most excellent. Service was pleasant and prompt. I enjoyed a breakfast sandwich and a side of delicious corned beef hash (out of a can but very good). My friend had a ham and cheese scramble with home fries and toast which looked out of this world. Highly recommended.

Oh, man, if you love rustic w/o the rust, you will love this hole in the wall. I drove by MonTues, and they were closed, but to my favor, Wednesday was the day. Apparently, they are in need of a breakfast cook, so if you are looking. Very few places have beans on the breakfast platter, and there, by choice, they lay. Eggs with all the various meats piled high cemented with mass cheeses, enough to stop up a train, if you follow. Raisin cinnamon toast slathered with butter. What a treat.

A great place to stop in for lunch or breakfast, the service is great and waitresses are so nice. Food is delicious, made quickly. The atmosphere is definitely a place to bring friends or visiting family, love how they have the placed decorated.

My wife and I love Flatlanda! It's the only place I can get a country fried steak for breakfast!

The only caveat to that is that it's technically a lunch item. In the past, I've asked to just get the chicken fried steak with two eggs and toast and not getting the items listed on the lunch plate.

Unfortunately, I would get charged the full lunch price plus the extra for the eggs and toast even though I didn't get the lunch sides. So now, I just order the full lunch, roll, mashed potatoes, and all, plus order my side of two eggs. 🤣

The mashed potatoes are great and the roll is perfect for scooping up my over medium eggs which is what I normally get the toast for.

In the end, it's totally worth it...

My wife and I stopped by this place on our way to visit family. The decor is very quant, dressed in 50s-60s roadside diner motif. There are multiple license plates lining the walls, all with unique themes. The server that welcomed us was cheerful and friendly. My wife and I ordered a regular type of breakfast, like eggs, home fries, sausage and toast. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, my wife's sunny side up eggs were under cooked. Our home fries were cooked very nicely, but the portions were small. The sausage was not of great quality, over stuffed link with a lot of fillers. My wife's bacon was under cooked. Our toast was covered with a...

A great breakfast- feels like visiting with family. The diner itself is easy to find (the old truck with the diner sign is super cute), and we immediately felt at home when we walked in. Both women working were kind and friendly, and service is quick and efficient. The food is wonderful - I got a #5 with French toast, and my husband got a ham and cheese omelette. Both were hot and delicious - the French toast was some of the best I’ve ever had from a diner. Scrambled eggs were a bit more wet (which I prefer to dry eggs) but be aware if that texture is not your thing. Overall I would ABSOLUTELY recommend, and am hoping we’re in the area again soon so we...
