After more than a decade of enjoying both in-store and catered meeting lunches at the Mediterranean in downtown Mobile while working at Hargrove, we are delighted to find this new location, almost right out our back door in the new Publix at 181 and 104.

Today was our second visit and they have really mastered their new store’s learning curve and have this operation ticking along very smoothly and efficiently. They know exactly what good looks like! Everyone seemed genuinely glad to see us and there was no drama!

Mary, our greeter, hostess, experience guide and cashier was friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable about all the menu items. There seemed to be a lot of first timers and she was able to accurately guide them through the menu, helping them understand the various nuances of the different combinations. She is a great choice to be the noontime face of The Mediterranean Sandwich Company.

We tried today's special, the Tacyeeros, 3 beef or chicken mini gyros on flour or corn tortillas with lettuce, tzatziki and tomato and cucumber salad with a side. I had the beef with a side of grilled vegetables and it was delicious! The cucumber and tomato salad was so fresh and with the amazing dressing, it really took the tacos to the next level, along with the sauce, both served on the side.

The whole place is brand new and was just so clean and shiny. Of course, they had a 100 score from the BCHD!

This is a great place for lunch or dinner and now they are open on Sundays from 11 to 3. We will check them out for Sunday brunch soon. ...

I really love this amazing restaurant - Mediterranean Sandwich Co. located on Highway 104 in Fairhope, AL! I’m so glad I discovered it right after they opened this location! From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcome. The place is brand new, bright, super clean, and has a relaxed vibe that makes you want to linger a bit longer. Andrei, the manager, is incredibly kind and helpful. He took the time to walk me through a few menu items I wasn’t familiar with and made some thoughtful recommendations based on what I said I liked. You can tell he really cares about both the food and the people he serves.

Their food is just excellent. The Chicken Shawarma wrap is hands-down one of my favorites, full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped just right. Sometimes I switch it up for the Mixed Grill (the slightly sweet onion marmalade is sooo yummy and their fries are unbeatable), Falafel Pita or their Gyro Sandwich and I am never disappointed. Everything I’ve tried so far has been fresh, authentic, and clearly made with so much care. This restaurant is an amazing go-to lunch or dinner place.

And a special thank-you to the restaurant’s team for catering the delicious chicken-based dish for my recent birthday celebration. The food is always a hit, and your kindness and professionalism made everything easy and stress-free. Can’t recommend this...

I can’t review the food because we didn’t have a chance to eat there. Let me explain why: we got a flyer in the mail saying “KIDS EAT FREE 3-close!” Well, I took my wife and 2 kids there expecting to buy 2 adult entrees and get 2 kids meals for FREE as advertised. Well when we went to order we were told the free kids meal is ONLINE ONLY. Neither the flyer or the location’s Facebook page says anything about it being for online orders. They asked us to place our order on our phone inside the restaurant to get the kids eat free deal. How much sense does this make? I’m going to stand there on my phone with a hungry family to get this deal? Why not just take my order and make thus much easier. We ended up leaving and going to another restaurant. We live 3 minutes from this location and were hoping to become regulars, but since they refused to honor the flyer (per the mysterious manager in the back, we will not be returning. And we will spread the word about our experience as well. This occurred Friday night September 13th so you can figure out who the culprits...
