Dairy Freeze — Restaurant in Fairmont

A popular spot for locals but the place is very slow. More than one group and the whole place slows down. I swear there is always a line. It is like there are two people working. The person at the window takes your order and then makes each item with no help. Imagine how fast that goes. The ice cream is good basically the same as what you would get at Dairy Queen. They barley even mix the flurries (blizzards) you always get it and feel like it was not mixed and there are no toppings. Also very inconvenient that they only accept cash or check. I feel like especially since the pandemic more and more places are accepting card and even Apple Pay or Google pay etc. I just wish they were faster and accepted more...

Ordered a simple vanilla ice cream in a cup for my Celiac child ( who is also recovering from brain surgery). The teen girl worker put a cookie in it. We returned it and asked for a new one without a cookie. Well, we got an attitude. Um, vanilla ice cream in a cup does not include a cookie and my child was willing to eat it and get sick (and possibly be hospitalized) just to not make a scene. Also, dry your tables so...

The food there is pretty cheap they have hot food and cold food they have drinks they have slushies etc the people that work there are super nice and they have sitting there and it's also close to a park so if you want to walk down the trail you can to get to the park which is next to a lake so it's pretty convenient how close is lake and it's just really good their ice cream and food...
