When our party of 5 arrived we were advised of a 20-25 minute wait & we agreed. We took our place in the waiting area. We kept noticing a table for 6 in the adjacent dining room empty but with waters & menus in place. After waiting 30 minutes, I did check in with the two young ladies working the hostess table & was told they still didn’t have an open table for our group but “you are next”. At this point, literally every other party had been seated. I even witnessed parties of 3 & 4 enter the restaurant and immediately be offered a table on the patio. A patio seat was never offered to our group. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I approached the hostess for a second time and out of frustration questioned the status of this open table set up for six that remained empty. It was then that I was informed the table in question was being “held” for another party of five that had three guests who had NOT arrived. I learned that two men who were currently in the bar had been “ahead” of us on the list and their remaining THREE guests hadn’t arrived yet to claim the table. They did NOT a have a reservation. I did express my displeasure with the fact a table was being held for 40 plus minutes for a group when the MAJORITY of the guests were not even on the property while they allowed my party of 5 to wait for what was now 45 -50 minutes. The hostess had zero insight on this debacle so another gentleman ( possibly a manager) became involved he apologized, confirm what the hostess told me and then stated “oh you’ve waited too long”. He then offered us immediate seating at a table on the patio. Interesting how suddenly a table for 5 opened on the patio. I immediately advised him that we would love to be seated but I wasn’t sure if my disabled father who is dependent on a walker and leg braces could walk that distance. He then offered us a table in an empty room adjacent to the patio and we agreed to that location. We were seated and given water and then ignored for an additional 10 minutes. We eventually received our meal and it was on par for this establishment. Unfortunately, I don’t know when or if we will return as we all felt very insulted by this entire experience. Not to mention this was our family’s Mothers Day celebration…very...

UPDATE: Well we have went 4 times now. The first 2 were fine. The last 2 have not been great with today being the worse. The food is still good, you just seem to get less. Today my salad was half of what it has been and I got the ravioli, and got 5 for $18, I have gotten 7 before. The biggest issue was the service. Today was the worst. I asked for a refill and it took 10 minutes to get it. Our waitress had 3 tables I could tell. She decided to take a new tables order and also clean up another table before getting my refill, so of course I had to eat without a drink. Not cool. Last time, the waitress didn’t seem to have a clue and the whole experience was a mess. Sadly, after this latest issue we won’t make the 40 minute drive to go back. It didn’t end there. Got home with her leftovers and there was a wire in the food. I wire. Couldn’t have been done by us as the box was sealed and in a bag. I’m done
It was our first time going to this establishment since moving to WV about 6 months ago and were we missing out. It’s fantastic!!! First the ambience in the dining area is very relaxed and charming with nice bottles, decor and lighting making for an enjoyable and relaxing sitting area. Next, comes the food. We ordered bruschetta as an appetizer and it was delicious. The glaze (I believe it’s a balsamic vinegar of sorts) made the dish over the top good. She had the chicken parm which she said was excellent and I had the cheese ravioli which was delish enough but the added meatball put it over the top. The bread and salad that came with the meal were also very good, the bread being so warm and fluffy I would have been happy to eat that all night. She had the cheesecake and I had the tiramisu for dessert and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. We both rate this place a 10/10 for everything. Service was also great and we were welcomed and thanked for dining here. We will be back and sooner then later. Top 3 places we have been to in this state, possibly the best. ...
Read moreBy far the best Italian restaurant around. I hate lettuce and usually decline the salad served with the meal to reduce food waste, but I decided to try eating it this time to expand my food pallette. It was amazing. If a restaurant can make a salad and bread that I like, it can do no wrong in my book. The warm, fresh, homemade bread with butter was a great appetizer to keep my hungry son from complaining until the entrees arrived. I had the Alfredo with chicken and it had a very rich, creamy sauce. Unlike some restaurants, they didn't skimp on the sauce or portions and the chicken was a great cut. No chicken fat and gross parts to be cut out. (I'm super picky about meat.) My son ordered a pizza and thought the small pepperoni was the cutest thing ever. He loved the pizza and will definitely order it again. Unfortunately, we stuffed ourselves full of salad, bread, and our entrees so we didn't have space for dessert. Next time, I'll be sure to save some space and try the chocolate cake. Everything on the dessert tray looked delicious. The best part about the restaurant is the service. Everyone was professional, polite, and attentive. There was no wait time when we arrived so we were seated right away. Our waitress came to get our drink order and checked in on us multiple times while we were eating to see if we needed anything. She also brought my son crayons and a coloring page so he could color while we waited. I had decided to give Muriale's a try before moving away since I'd heard so many great things about it. Now I wish I had gone sooner and enjoyed it many more times before we leave the area. We'll definitely be having dinner here at least one more time before we depart from WV. Well...
