We were there 10 minutes then I had to ask someone to take our drink order... the girl i asked for assistance was less than impressed and the young man who took our drink order had an annoyed attitude. Then, when he brought drinks out, he only brought half of it so I waited another 5 or more minutes and had to ask for the rest of our drinks. He said there were no more clean glasses, which would be understandable and communication would have gone a LONG way. Then our waitress dropped off our food but didn't come back to check on refills or anything so I had to flag her down for ranch and steak sauce. She was clearly frazzled by some statements she made, so I'm not sure if it was a staffing issue (because that's everywhere) or what, because there were several open tables when we arrived. My "medium" steak was dry and lukewarm and my "ice" water was room temperature. 🤷♀️ I was just going to leave without the kids cookies when our server finally brought them as we were in line to pay. There was another mom sitting by us when we got there and she's like, good luck, this is the land of the forgotten... I understand we went on a Sunday and were up against the after church crowd and there are short staffing issues everywhere, however; a little less attitude from the kids up front and a little more communication would have gone a long way. I will say, I did greatly appreciate being asked if we wanted to sit up front or in a side section when we got there. We were seated in an open booth and the location was much preferred to not be so noisy and...
Read moreI used to drool over going to this Perkins......then we went today. The restaurant was not quite half full, so I expected the usual great meal, quick in and out,and big tip for the usual swift, courteous service. Well after waiting for 10 minutes just to order, we gave our order and then shockingly watched 2 tables that were seated and ordered after us get their food and commence eating. About 5 minutes later our Waiter (Preston) stops by to tell us that our food is almost done and apologizes for the long wait. We were then expecting our food in a few minutes and we could finally eat,(so far a 25 minute wait) but we sat for another 8 minutes and my Wife asked another waitress to send out our Waiter. After 4 more minutes she went to look for him and as she turned one corner, the waiter came around another with our food. My wife came back just to hear him apologizing for the long wait. Now I love Talapia and Shrimp with Asparagus so I began eating, the waiter left and I said "No Tip!" She agreed, then She noticed that She did not get the fresh fruit that was to come with the meal! We asked for our Waiter again he arrived and he said he would get it right away, My Wife said "Don't Bother" not to nicely and he said we would get a discount. We left half our food and went to pay, I complained about the service and we got a 15% discount. If this is Perkins new Normal service I think I'm all in to find a new "Favorite Restaurant".

Read moreStuffed myself. Brandon was my waiter and he was spot on with answers to the questions i had, and with the coffee. Wish Perkins had more locations in other parts of the country. They get scarce south of I-80. Edit : I don't know what happened to the rest of my review. I complimented Brandon yes, but the rest of this post honored the service I received from Ashley and noted the quelling us to the restaurant. I mentioned Jackson's name as well since he was the manager that was on duty when I was there. I feel this place has a wonderful compliment of staff. When I returned yesterday I had M as my waitress and it seems each time I frequent this place I get better service and I was extremely satisfied with Brandon on my 1st visit. Whatever you do Perkins, please keep whoever hires your staff on your payroll. And do what you can to hang on to this staff. You're clean restaurant and great menu would not be as effective without them. Thanks for being one of the best restaurants and most reasonably priced...
