Why travel to downtown Nashville when you can have Top Chefā„¢ dining right here in Fairview? I'm not kidding, what I experienced rivalled any restaurant that I've experienced in the Gulch or 12th South. The atmosphere is a nice mix of upbeat modern with a bit of country behind the counter. There's a great lounge area, full bar for mixed drinks, indoor, great outdoor seating and every section is clean. The menu has a wonderful selection of country dishes and high-end dining selections all reimagined with the chef's special touches. Amazing sauces like the comeback sauce and bourbon ketchup blew me away! All fresh ingredients, wonder presentation, and prices that will allow you to bring the whole family and still order dessert for everyone! Smoked Johnny cake is the best cornbread I have EVER had. Perhaps Korean bbq or Kalua pulled pork is more your style? Ooh, maybe you're in the mood for a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon? Because the Thomson's Kitchen has it all.

I went to this restaurant at 1:00 pm on a Saturday. There was one waiter working. I waited for several minutes and no one came to take my order. I finally had to get the hostess to take my order. I ordered a dish called Bird of Paradise. This dish consisted of dry, bland chicken strips served on a bed of sweet rice. It was garnished with cilantro, unsalted peanuts, a drizzle of sweet and sour sauce, a dollop of "lime cream" (tasteless), and some kind of pickled vegetable. The dish needed both salt and pepper, which I requested but never got. My water glass wasn't refilled until I had finished my meal. This lunch portion was $18.00, which is very overpriced for such a mediocre dish and very poor service. I know this restaurant gets 5 star reviews, but that was not my experience at all. I will not be returning. And note to ALL restaurants: stop ignoring your solo diners.

FANTASTIC! Wow! What a dinner! We met up with some friends who had been here 2x in the past month and had a phenomenal time. It’s in a low key building, but once you step inside an eclectic atmosphere! Stacey, our waiter, was wonderful and super fun. He made sure to tell us about new dishes, fan favorites, and some of his favorites! I had the smash burger and was blown away. My wife had the gnocchi Primavera (vegan version) and loved the super fresh and clean feel it had. I can attest to this. We also got multiple orders of their fries with 3 different kind of sauces. Come back, a Smokey ranch, and Jack & Coke Ketchup- all three fantastic. We ended the evening with key lime pie- I don’t even like key lime pie and I have caught myself thinking about it the next day. I hope to return soon!

Pleasantly surprised upon my first visit to Thompson's Kitchen. I have food allergies, so dining out looks different for me than for those without allergies. I just wanted to say that Thompson's Kitchen nailed it!! Options on the menu were clearly labeled with GF or Vegan options. I have a severe milk/beef allergy so I opted for something vegan to be safe and also I do gluten free. I was so excited to find several options I could have on the menu and none were a salad! I could've ordered a salad, but you know what I mean if you're a fellow food allergy person. So many times there is nothing but salad that is a safe option. This place had a version of the shrimp tacos I could eat and it was so good! The servers were very thorough and professional and I could tell that they knew what they were doing in regards to food allergies. They were courteous and the whole experience was wonderful. It's so rare for me to find a place that takes proper care with did allergens and doesn't make it feel like an inconvenience. Also, the restaurant is cute inside with rustic decor and they seem to care about every detail being good quality. They even had nice toilet paper. LOL. Not that I normally judge TP, but I'm just saying, I noticed. They're also right down the road from GroWild plant nursery, which is where I was coming from so you can go to two awesome...

The Thompsons Kitchen is a GEM here in Fairview!

Tuesday night, I had the pleasure of dining at The Thompsons Kitchen, and it was an unforgettable experience. Nestled right off of highway 100, this restaurant is a perfect blend great food and warm hospitality.

The menu offers a creative mix of dishes with something for everyone. I started with the duck cassoulet and fall fig salad, which was a perfect balance of flavor. For the main course, I had the lamb which was melt-in-your-mouth tender and paired beautifully with a greek goddess dressing. For dessert, a rich chocolate brownie tower was the perfect way to end the meal!! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and presented like a work of art.

The staff were attentive without being overbearing, and they genuinely seemed passionate about the food and ensuring a great dining experience. Our server, Ryan was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent wine pairing suggestions.

The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting! It’s the perfect spot for a romantic date or a celebratory dinner with friends.

Thompson’s kitchen exceeded all my expectations. The attention to detail in every aspect of the experience—from the quality of the food to the exceptional service—makes this a must-visit restaurant. I’m already planning my next visit when my family comes into town for...

Katelyn was our server on a Thursday evening and she was welcoming, warm and attentive. She explained the specials and answered all questions and shared with us her favorites. The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. We both chose the cheese burgers and they came out hot and cooked just like we ordered them. We asked for a couple items to be omitted and they were. Ok, the burgers...the bun was tender and it wrapped around the burger perfectly and squished everything together just right. It comes with a slather of generous, tangy pimento cheese and a comeback sauce that just seals the deal. Every bite I took there was a bit of pimento cheese or sauce and instead of using my napkin at first, I just licked all that deliciousness off. šŸ˜‹ Sorry if you saw me and noticed. It comes with pickles but I omitted them. The beef patty is top tier quality and seasoned just right. That burger is a GOOD burger. I was full. We ordered the house made lemonade and it was cold, yummy, thirst quenching. Katelyn kept our glasses filled. We'll be visiting again. I'll probably order the cheese burger (I keep thinking about it) but my husband wants to try the bulgoggi. Yeah, we'll be back and will be recommending Thompson's Kitchen highly to everybody. Thank you for a...
