2023........... Well, I heard this place was under New management so we thought we'd try it out. We ordered pizza and wings. They need to take pizza and wings off their menu. It was super thin crust but the bottom still wasn't cooked. It was raw and doey. I tried cooking it longer in my oven at home but it was so greasy that the top continued to cook but the bottom stayed doey and rubbery. It was disgusting. I was really shocked at how raw it was. It was like a frozen pizza that wasn't cooked. The wings were filled with grissle and the sauce was so greasy you could see the separation of the grease and what was supposed to be the actual sauce. We won't be going back. Not recommending. But if you do go, don't order the pizza and wings.
Several years ago........... We ate there today. The fries were old and had been refried to an ugly color. The onion rings were badly burnt. The hamburger was still Pink inside and they charged 8 dollars for a chicken tender meal that was supposed to be 4 decent size tenders but had 4 tiny tenders that looked like nuggets and something extra they threw in that I guess was supposed to be an extra tender to make up for the small sizes. It wasn't even etable. Not sure what it was supposed to be. It was the worst food we've ever gotten there. The service and quality has gone down greatly at this restaurant. The last time we went, I ordered 2 scrambled eggs. They gave me chopped eggs that they just cracked open the egg and threw it on the skillet, fried it and then chopped it up. I asked why my egg didn't looked scrambled and the very rude waitress, rather than try to make sure my food was right chose to tell me "that's how the chef cooks them so it will make a larger pile of eggs." She said it with such disdain like I shouldn't complain because it makes more eggs cooking it that way. I didn't ask for a large pile of cooked and chopped eggs. I asked for 2 scrambled eggs. They need a lot of work to get back up to par of where they once were. I would not waste my hard earned money at this restaurant. You might consider going...
Read moreThe Faith Soda Shop is a very cute little restaurant, complete with rocking chairs on the front porch, located in the similarly cute and quaint town of Faith, NC. The server was cheerful and pleasant and the price was reasonable. As for the vittles, the eggs were perfect, the sausage was very tasty (the patty—there was only one— appeared to be hand-formed, which was neat), the bacon was delicious and smokey, the home fries were a bit lacking in seasoning but were wonderfully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the grits were excellent (but be advised that they are cheese grits and are not advertised as such). The biscuit was above average, but that bar is pretty low considering my previous biscuit encounters (see my other reviews), and the coffee was a bit weak. The most curious taste of the day was the gravy, which tasted reminiscent of...you’re not going to believe this but it’s true...suntan lotion—some kind of coconut undertone. It was odd. Nevertheless, this place is definitively worth a stop if you are...
Read moreService was slow. After waitress brought drinks, she took forever to come back to take order. We had to wave to her and then it took some time for her still to come to take our order. Even though the restaurant was about empty, she felt it necessary to clean tables instead. Food was not enjoyable. BBQ sandwich was awful. We ordered a kid's meal and they NEVER bought the home chips. They brought an extra order of chili cheese fries. A positive point, they do have a great salad bar. To top it off, the waitress handed us our bill and it was someone's else receipt (not even a bill). There was a hassle at the register for them to figure out what we needed to pay. They charged us for the additional order of cheese fries which they eventually deducted that from our bill. They charged us full price for the kids meal although we never received the home chips. I would not recommend this restaurant if you are one that likes to go out for a good...
