This was our first visit and we were excited to check this place out. The atmosphere is nice. The music isn't overly loud, so you can actually talk and hear the other person. There was plenty of open seating at 5:00 pm on Friday night. Lots of tvs to catch your sports. We ordered the chips and queso app, a burger, and the philly sandwich. The food was really good. Unfortunately, that was not enough to draw us back anytime soon. The service was absolutely horrible. Our app came out with our main dishes. The cheese was luke warm at best and crusted over, showing it had been sitting in the back for some time. Kitchen or service issue, not sure. We had to go to the bar to get more drinks, as our waitress never checked on us. Even then, were ignored by 3 people behind the bar. Unfortunately, we were not the only ones with service issues, and not even the same serever, as we watched several other tables having to do the same. Our waitress never even came back to offer boxes, had to go get our own, and then had to go to the bar to ask for our bill. Pics are of the views from where we were seated. and someone from another table having to go to the bar to get their own drinks.

My friend and I were looking for a local last summer, and decided to try CJ’s. Well, they grabbed us first with the steak bites (drool) and then the magical flat fries. The bright open atmosphere makes for a pleasing environment. Bingo, meat raffles and the super perfect lil’ casino keep us going weekly (if not a couple times a week). Even with Golf season back in full swing, parking might be tricky, but you’ll get your steps in so you can enjoy the food more 😁. The staff works diligently to take care of everyone, even when at times they are short staffed. (Isn’t everyone these days?) we have never been disappointed spending time at CJ’s and hope it is at Rose Creek for years and years to come.

We are from out of town & choose CJs Tavern to meet up with friends on a week night. Everything was absolutely 5 stars. We had a blast - our server, Maggie, was so wonderful! On top of things, funny, & sweet. We never waited for anything & her bar staff supporting her was also great. The bar is big, open, & clean. It was wing Wednesday & the bone in wings were huge, cooked to perfection 👌. I would come back anytime. Thank you, Maggie for making our night & accommodating our large group. Well done!

Beautiful place to have a drink but don't order food. To start out, I waited about 10 minutes at the bar for a bartender to even say hello. When my husband came, he also waited over 10 minutes. We finally had to ask for a menu and to order a drink. When we ordered, the food was ok at best and way over priced. I ordered wings (8 for $17) and sauce came on the side. My husband ordered walleye Po Boy sandwich and on there were 3 small fish sticks and it was tasteless ($18-with salad upgrade). Also got charged for Titos vodka/Bloody Mary ($11) when it was to be rail happy hour drink ($4). Due to the one happy hour drink on our tab, I was not able to use my SaveCoin voucher even though we had over $35 in food. In order to use my voucher, I had to pay full price for my drink. Despite having to wait for food and service, the staff were friendly and the food was hot. I will be back, but just for happy...

Excellent Private Event Experience at CJ’s Tavern

I recently hosted a private event at CJ’s Tavern, and the experience was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment we booked, the staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of seamlessly.

The service was outstanding—friendly, professional, and efficient. The team went above and beyond to make sure our guests were comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening.

The entire process, from planning to execution, was effortless thanks to the organization and dedication of the CJ’s Tavern staff. If you’re looking for a venue that delivers great service and a stress-free event, this is the place to be....
