Ruby Tuesday in South Fargo is NOT the place to be. Our experience on Saturday afternoon was a truly AWFUL experience. Our server was unattentive and ended up being very RUDE and UNPLEASANT. We began by ordering the salad bar before our meal, and our was food served in less than 10 minutes, but unfortunately we basically just sat down with our plates from the salad bar, *(line was long) and now our main course would be getting cold. While spreading the butter and sour cream on my potato while it was still warm, I found a black hair, preceded to pick it out, and wanted to tell someone, but no one came back to see us for maybe thirty minutes , in fact a few moments earlier, before I thought of spreading the butter, our server had came back to check on us only to say, that we hadn't touched our food, as it was five minutes after receiving our entree. and we were just about finished with our salads. At that time the server brought no refills for our empty glasses or served any purpose for that interaction, other than it felt like she was telling us to hurry along. It became a very wierd experience, and only when she was bringing the check did she attempt any drink refills. And then when I mentioned to the server I was sent a promotion on the app, did our server get very upitty, and as my phone was logging into to my Ruby Tuesday Account, for a moment, my internet bar was circling , and our server takes it upon herself to say," YOU have ZERO points and there is NO offers for YOU!" I say I was sent something, and she repeats louder, "YOU HAVE NOTHING, IT WONT WORK!" Pointing intently at my screen, and then finally my internet kicks in and the app refreshes to accurately display my points and my reward. Then the server says NOTHING, GLARES at me as she points for me to move my arm and my body, so she could write down the redemption code on the side of our table. And then I said the unthinkable, that I had something else, for I had gift card and wanted to use that as well. I then preceded to go into my photo gallery, where I had an image of the card, and the server point blank, and in a very matter of fact way says, "WELL IS THAT GIFT CARD, EVEN GOING TO WORK?!!" I said yes, why wouldnt it? She says, "well it is a screenshot", in as CONDESCENDING A TONE and in a voice loud enough for many to hear. The displeasure our server had for any requests was appaling, for she had her arms crossed, and again GLARED at me, and seemed to be in pure attack mode. I just wanted this whole interaction to end and I said I just to wanted to remember my total balance left and that is why I took a screen shot, but she didnt care. She wrote down the number saying nothing again and left.. NEVER in Fargo have we been treated so poorly and belittled like we had at Ruby Tuesdays. The service there was appaling, it was move through, don't care about you, just a numbers game kinda visit. Food Poor, Service was None, and once everything worked for our payment, the server showed no remorse, we received no apologies, and had ZERO attempt to remedy this awful experience. Ruby Tuesdays in Fargo is Truly NOT an Experience I would want for anyone, and I would stay away from there and choose almost anywhere else for your dining visits. There is No management present on the floor, and servers can do, or not do whatever they want. Before this review, I attempted a resolution with the restaurant and left a customer feedback review, and they were very dismissive and attempted to gave us a $25 gift card for a $60 meal, which unfortunately we will NOT USE... It took us a while to decide but we had a young woman with beautiful red hair waiting on us and she was patient and friendly and didnt get frustrated. I cant eat much at a time but had been craving salad bar there for months. I took one plate and didnt get another for the various prepred salads, just a lettuce one with the toppings. I knew i couldnt finish even that or the food i ordered on the deal, but it was part of the meal. I noticed on the salad bar it now said if you want a to go box for what u didnt finish, you had to pay full price for it. I didnt have a large salad so thought that was a bit excessive. Our meals came and my 6oz steak was grey, like it was microwaved and mostly fat. The waitress was very nice about taking it back. My friend loved her chicken and mashed potatoes, and our dessert. My second steak came and was identical to the first, like they just reheated it. There was no meat, only fat, and it was still a sad grey looking tiny meat. I just gave up and asked for a to go box for it and the steak i said id just give the dogs. Our waitress was wonderful through the whole thing so i gave her a great tip for putting up with the hassle. I should have just asked for a togo salad bar in the first place. When i got home i weighed the steak with all the fat and what little amount of meat it had. That thin grey piece of meat wasnt even 6oz with the fat and less than one ounce of edible meat without the fat. I 100% recommend our waitress, still love the salad bar but should have paid full price so i could try a little of everything and taken the leftovers. My friend loved her meal and the cake. That steak is why i gave it 4 stars. It was the tiniest, fattiest, sickly looking grey piece of steak id seen in my life and not even the weight it should have been unless you like all fat no meat. So, we went off of what we remembered from the website, no assistance from the staff. We ordered 3 smash burgers and fries that came with a salad bar for $9.99. I ordered the limited time special burger, tots, and salad bar for $12.99 and a grilled cheese and fries for our son who doesn’t like burgers. A few minutes passed and the waitress returned and stated they do not offer that burger with the Monday special. Ok, so I asked what burger options were available. I settled on the double American smash burger. The salad bar had decent but limited options, the first plates we grabbed were wet and had some unpleasant residue. After sitting down with our salads, our food was delivered about 3 minutes later. The 3 single burgers all were ordered with fries but one had tots when it arrived, after asking if we could have fries, the waitress was extremely rude and stated multiple times we did not order all fries. My burger came as a Swiss burger with onions, for the sake of avoiding yet another customer service issue I ate it even though it was not what I ordered. My daughter would not eat the burger it was so burnt and the other burgers were very charred. As we seldom eat out due to having a large family, this experience was the worst one since living in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Whoever is hiring or training the staff needs to be reevaluated. Why argue with customers? Even if the customers ordered something else, should a waiter/waitress argue with a guest or simply make their experience better and provide them with the same courtesy and understanding they should expect?
