I always order the dark deboned lemon oregano whole or dark deboned whole with rice and salad, been patronizing since 2013. Yesterday I ordered the lemon oregano, so of course the rice is in a separate container. I ate a small serving of food yesterday. Today, when I added rice on my plate, I noticed a piece of skin inside with the rice, it had to be under the rice of course. I called to speak with the manager to let him know and as I explained my reason for calling, he began talking to someone inside his restaurant and laughed…How rude and unprofessional, so I got quiet and then he asked me to proceed… I recommend this place and convinced there is no other place better, but I think I need to give The restaurants in Dearborn a try. I am not happy with such inappropriate unprofessional behavior.
I received several follow up calls from Jeanine on behalf of La Marsa and I appreciate her calling me in regards to my concern. I was very disappointed because I truly love their food, but now I am happy to be able to continue to patronize La Marsa because Jeanine stands behind her brand and appreciates...
Read moreWas in the area and was familiar with the location near downtown Detroit, and their food is really good for portion, taste and cost, so I figured I'd try this location. Many quite similar, prices seemed a bit different. My son ordered the 3 piece lamb chops half fries half rice, I ordered the lemon/ oregano chicken, half dark half white, with rice... wet both hot a fatoosh/ house salad... which was delicious. Portions were decent, lamb chops weren't that flavorful. Chicken could've been cooked a bit longer, seemed more baked/ boiled than grilled... that lemon/ oregano was delicious... even on the rice. I had my usual smoothie and my son had his frozen lemonade. They seem to be very popular for that area as many people were either coming in to place catering orders or to pick up large orders. There were customers coming in consistently. For both our orders, our was about 75$ which at the restaurant we traditionally go to, there would've been 5 nice sized lamb chops and I would've had two whole pieces of chicken... one thigh and one breast... not half and...
Read moreI would have given this restaurant five stars as I have always had a good meal with excellent service until my last visit when I ordered raw kibbeh (Kibbeh Nayyeh). The lamb had a mysterious red color to it which seemed to be some sort of food dye and actually looked a bit nasty. Too bad as I have eaten raw kibbeh in many restaurants over the course of many years and must confess that for a carnivore, this can be a heavenly dish. Neither the looks of the kibbeh nor the taste impressed me. The taste was a bit off and perhaps this was the food dye. In addition, raw kibbeh is normally served with finely diced onion but here it came with large pie shaped cuts of raw cooking onion which I sent back with the request that the onion be diced. I guess the cook showed me as the large onion pieces were cut into thirds and returned with the waiter not even asking if that was satisfactory. My spouse's prompting of: "Let it go." ended my attempt to have the meal comport with common...
