Our experience was disappointing. When we arrived the buffet was pushed on us, but after eating a meal the night before that was similar to the buffet we decided we wanted something else. We were the only diners in the restaurant when we arrived. When we ordered the female cook on May 4 went on a disrespectful, swear word laden diatribe because she had to make our meals. The server apologized profusely. The owner arrived later and she stopped her abuse. Our meal for three of us were two burgers and a ham and cheese sandwich were uninspiring and tasteless. The price was reasonable. I think the swear laden disrespect contributed to our poor experience. The owner needs to fire this cook immediately. People like her destroy a restaurant. I know from experience as I worked in the business to pay for my education. I write this review not to destroy this business, but to send a message. Tourism in Van Buren County is a lifeline. We are from Davenport. We like coming through and supporting local businesses. Fire this woman!!! Now!!! She is hurting all of you! Thanks for reading and thanks...

I live in Virginia but have been traveling to Farmington to visit my grandma since I was two weeks old. As far back as I can remember, the Bridge Cafe was always my favorite place around to eat. My grandma would take me up there every morning for breakfast and so.etimes for lunch or supper. I was always so excited to go see everyone and eat the great food. The last time I went for breakfast was a couple years back and even 25 years and a couple owner changes later I still really enjoyed it. I chose the breakfast buffet. Everything was hot, fresh, and cooked perfectly. My last trip was this past February for my grandma's funeral. The owner was kind enough to allow us all to gather in the back room afterwards for supper and put they together a nice buffet with soups and sandwiches. As always, the food was excellent. I couldn't stop returning to the buffet. I'm not sure when the next time I will be in town will be now or if I will ever make it back there but the Bridge will always be one of my fondest memories...

We had the Saturday morning breakfast buffet. The eggs are fake powdered bag of microwave junk. Sausage was fine. Biscuits and gravy were probably the best thing there. The diced potatoes were dry and overcooked. The woman that waited on us was wonderful. Sweet and pleasant. She explained the prices went up and they hadn't had a chance to correct the menu. (That food and those prices. Choose another place.) Maybe.. if we had ordered off the menu, it may have been better with real eggs and properly cooked potatoes. As for the low atmosphere rating, the woman that saw me when I walked in clearly didn't like my appearance. She looked me up and down and made a face only her mother could love. So, if you have tattoo sleeves.. or more. You may be more welcome somewhere else. As for the lovely woman that waited on us and brought our drinks. I apologize, my friend didn't leave a tip. If I had noticed, I would of made sure...

Nice friendly cafe right on the river. Lunch was terrific. I ordered two tacos which was the special. WOW they were big and tasty. My son had the 1/2 hot beef plate. He liked it a lot. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Just like an small town cafe should be. The price was very decent. Highly recomend.
