12/18/2024 - updated review: I returned to County Line Pizza a week after my initial review on 12/11 in hopes that the experience would be better. Fortunately, it was! My 7 y/o daughter and I went around dinner time and we were greeted immediately, sat right away in a comfy booth and had our food within 15 minutes of ordering. This was a highlight because during our time there was a large party of 20+ upstairs which could have easily slowed things down. The atmosphere was great, the restaurant and bathroom were very clean, and our waitress was extremely attentive. The food was delicious and the menu was super easy to navigate. We are grateful to the owner for seeing my initial review and taking action to improve on the service. Thank you!! We look forward to visiting again and trying the different pizza flavor profile options. I offer this review as a way to help the business improve based on my personal experience. I visited this place on 12/11 and while I loved the vibe and the the aroma of fresh baked pizza upon walking in, I was a little disappointed right away with the customer service. My 7 y/o daughter and I walked in around 5:50pm and there were about 20 people seated across 5 tables and the bar area. Not very busy. I counted about 8 people working that I could see. And you can see everything when walking in because of the open concept which is part of what makes it cool. However, after at least 5 minutes we still stood there waiting to be seated as the sign said to do. No one shouted out something like ‘Welcome, we will be with you in a minute’ nor hardly looked our way during that time. But I could hear a worker say, someone’s at the door waiting, someone go take care of them. And a waitress walked nearby twice. Definitely improvement or training is needed there to fix a very easy step. I don’t mind waiting but to have to wait and be ignored is not preferred. My daughter and I actually couldn’t stay because we didn’t have enough time. We simply wanted to check the place out and see about the time it might take to order a pizza to go. That initial experience was not great so I hope the next one will be much better! I will say that the gentleman who did greet us was very cordial and helpful. ——————————————————————— Review from 12/11/2024: I will update my review after we are able to have time to visit and eat in.

1/24/25 UPDATE: I went back this evening and received a very delicious almost 12-inch pizza! I’m updating to a 4-star review. Thanks for figuring this out! Original review: Our experience was that the pizzas were vastly smaller than advertised. The menu says these are 12 inch pies, but they were clearly little more than 8 inches across. If you do the math on this (I did), that’s more than 55% smaller in area than advertised. This is a significant disappointment when you get home and realize you definitely don’t have enough pizza for everyone, especially after dropping more than $50 on three pies. As far as the food quality, it was very good! Great crust, solid ingredients, and tasteful composition. Just not worth the price at that size. I don’t generally leave negative reviews, but this issue was too significant to ignore. I hope they fix the discrepancy in size for the price, because I’d love to come back here if the price point was a little more reasonable for what you get.

Finding a unique pizza establishment between Rockwall and Quinlan is a RIGHTEOUS MIRACLE. (No longer suffering the pizza at the other midway establishment further east - is definitely a highlight mow for lake visits at Tawakoni) Appetizer was crispy and aromatic focaccia bread toasted up just right with a unique tomato based dipping sauce. We ordered two speciality pies (short rib / standard) The short rib arrived first - with the crust a bit softer than I liked (my kids loved it - so if you’re into softer crusts - you should be in heaven). Asked the waitress to keep the other in a bit longer (to my liking), which she failed to do. (Had plenty of time to do it - but missed it as she was dedicated elsewhere) Despite softer crusts - both specialities were an absolute hit for this family. Atmosphere was nice - but the single bathroom downstairs was quite limiting. Definitely coming back!

Mixed Experience: Decent Food, Poor Service

We recently visited this restaurant and had a bit of a mixed experience. We started with salads, which were very good and fresh. The pizza, however, didn’t live up to our expectations based on the glowing Facebook reviews. The crust was lacking, and overall it wasn’t as enjoyable as we had hoped. The wings also weren’t cooked to our liking, as they were not crispy.

Unfortunately, the service was the biggest letdown of the evening. Our waitress got 2 out of 3 pizza orders wrong, which was frustrating. We also had to ask another waitress for basic items like forks and napkins since ours disappeared several times. To make matters worse, we had to remind them multiple times for the salt and pepper, and by the time we got it, we were almost done with our meal.

As for the facilities, there is only one unisex bathroom, which we didn’t end up using during our visit. On the positive side, the interior of the restaurant had a nice industrial vibe, but the lack of tinted windows made dining uncomfortable. The sunlight kept shining directly into our eyes, which detracted from the overall experience.

While we appreciated the salads and the restaurant’s aesthetic, the poor service and some food quality issues left us disappointed. We may give it another shot, but only if there are improvements in...

Was super excited to see a local pizza place where I could pick up a pie without getting on I 30. Found it online and ordered and paid - said it would be ready in 20mn. When I arrived on time the parking lot was packed with no designated 'To Go' parking. It was hopping! Cute bar vibe and full service which I was not expecting. Total chaos of the service crew and there were plenty of girls but only 1 they were pointing to to help retrieve my order. Lots of employees - little help. She was on the phone, then went to check. I stood there for 10mn while seeing another guy sitting with a pizza at a counter and then they found another pizza for him and he left. Then they told me they just had a bunch of orders come in and had put a bunch of pizzas in the oven. 5 more mn and the initial girl went over to that pizza that had been sitting on the counter for 15mn and 'found' my order. It was completely cold. I won't go back for take out until they get their act down. They need a designated 'to go' process and to keep the pizzas warm until they figure out who to give them to. I'm warming...
