Fawn Tavern — Restaurant in Fawn Township

It is nice, but they just had a basket raffle for a friend who is in a financial bind. Some woman put together the event to raise money to help. My daughter told me she wanted to help out, so I got thing together for her to make some of the baskets. The day of the raffle, we went in and bought tickets. I only put in for 2 things thinking I would never win anything. That evening I get a call telling me I something and what number it was. I knew it would be the Steeler jacket I wanted for my husband, but NO she tells me it is one of the baskets my daughter made from the things I gave her. The jacket sat on the left side of the tables and what she told me I won was on the right side of the room on another table. I Don't know why the rip-off to me or just letting friend take what they want, but I'll be sure not to trust people there and remind people that you can't people like them when you try to do nice thing to help...

The Fawn Tavern is a special place to me. Yes, it's close to my home and a stop in is just convenient at times, but also it's the kind of wonderful dive bar I love. It allows smoking, has a free jukebox on Wednesdays, cheap drinks and the occasional live entertainment. It's a cash only establisment so bring the dollars, but you don't have to spend a lot to have a good time. There's also karaoke Thursday where you get to hear the locals sing their favorites again and again. The bartenders are great and friendly. The regulars give each other a friendly hard time and there's almost always some good barroom talk entertainment to keep the drinks flowing.
