Caveat before review: This was a Friday night just after 9 PM
The place was not busy. We sat down at a booth, a Cubs bar with good ambience and the game on.
We ordered drinks and a Sampler for an appetizer. This was probably the best part of the evening.
After we were about finished with the appetizers, we started to order. We were informed that numerous items were unavailable as they did not have the same amount of grills available as before 9 PM. There were a few items that we ordered that the server came back and said they cannot make, even when they said they could. So we adjusted our order, probably should have stopped ordering food at that point.
Reason for my comment there was that the quesadilla we ordered was awful. It was baked in a pizza oven with chicken pieces and cheese. The tortilla looked half done and the top and bottom parts of the quesadilla would not stay together. It was the worst quesadilla I've ever seen. We asked if this is the way they usually prepare it. They said yes.
Please don't order the quesadilla.
I had the Duffer sandwich (Philly steak on regular bread). While it was toasted well and everything was OK, it had raw red onion and raw peppers (probably because of no grills). Chicken strips were OK. Fries were good.
You may have a better experience if you go before 9 PM when all grills are available but we will skip if we are ever...
Read moreMaybe it was my fault for expecting too much, but a lot of people said their pizza was awesome. Threw most of it away. Also got a grilled garlic chicken salad. Chicken almost seemed as though it had been boiled, then thrown in a pan for 10 seconds. It was done, but there were no grill marks. Each side had a small circle where it was a shade darker. I'm also unsure why they include "garlic" in the name, because there was a lack of any sort of garlic - fresh, garlic powder, garlic salt, not even garlic croutons. I gave it 3 stars because they make their own ranch, and it...
Read moreTerrible place. Called in pizza order and was told it would be 30 minutes. Got there in 30 minutes and was told it would be a few minutes more. 15 minutes later I inquired when I might get my pizza. Was told it was just going into the oven. I walked over to the owner who was half drunk at the bar and told him what had happened. He turned and looked at me and stated 'you can always leave'. Used to frequent the place but will never step foot in there again. The gas station in town has better service...
