Whiskey Creek Grille — Restaurant in Fayetteville

We were on a day trip from northeast Alabama, thru rural middle Tennessee just looking at the lay of the land, historic sites, cemeteries and old homes, barns, buildings and everything else Tennessee has to offer and we somehow ended up in Fayetteville around dark 30... We'd gotten kinda hungry and wanted to stretch our legs and rest for a sec... I was looking for a place with music and a good atmosphere and came across Whiskey Creek Grille here on Google and decided to give them a try!!! We ate the wings and they were really good!!! The atmosphere was that of a melting pot which is always nice to see for me, when I'm somewhere unfamiliar... The owner and bartender/waitresses that served us were the absolute sweetest and most friendly people I've met in awhile!!! The service was swift, prompt and correct from the beginning!!! We didn't know what to expect at first being a mixed race couple in a southern middle Tennessee town that we didn't have much knowledge of... We laughed amongst ourselves saying (what if we walk in and the music stops like a movie and everyone is just starting at us like, "y'all must not be from around these parts"!!!) 🥴🤣 But I seen 2 black folks on one of the Google photos so that alone made me a lil more comfortable😂!!! We walk in and I see 2 brothers with the same skin tone as me in the kitchen and the aroma smelled like my auntie house when she be cooking so I know it was about to smack hard af (be very tasteful and good 😂) The locals were rather friendly and very nice and welcoming from the moment we walked in and sat down!!! Even laughed and joked with an older waitress and the cook because they thought I was her ex son-in-law Darius and I had grew a beard 😂🤣!!! When we entered, we were greeted by the owner. Nice guy. Our waitress took our order, which included two appetizers. I ordered the shrimp salad; hubby and daughter ordered side salads with their order. Side salads came out, but instead of my shrimp salad, she placed a side salad in front of me. I corrected her, and she admitted all she saw was salad on her ticket and just assumed. Then my corrected salad came out. 20 minutes later the other orders came out. I didnt eat my salad until the rest of the order came in; im not going to eat in front of anyone until all the food is on the table. Mind you, the appetizers still haven't come out. We told the waitress to cancel the appetizers. She comes back with the appetizers and tries to tell us that they just came up... no. Appetizers come out first, period. When we got the bill, she explained the numbers with the appetizers taken off, and the owner took 3 dollars off for their troubles. When the waitress rung up the order, she Still rang up the total without the discount! She then canceled that and rang up the correct amount. During this whole time, the waitress never checked on us, only the owner. Hubby needed more water. He was already upset about the appetizers and just wanted to leave. I dont think we'll be returning...

I went to Whiskey Creek Grille for the first time on March 18th 2023 with some friends. It was around 6:30-7pm when we first went in. I expected it to be packed at this time as this was the normal dinner time on a Saturday night and March Madness was also going on. All the tables were taken, and a few tables were dirty and waiting to be cleaned off so we waited patiently for around 10 mins for a table. A waiter finally came out and saw there was a table that hasn’t been cleaned off yet and got to working on it so we could sit down. After sitting down the waitress came and took our drink and food order. The staff were very nice and had our drinks and food out at a reasonable time. The food was great. We stayed for two hours watching the games and eating and drinking. They have plenty of TVs around the place with some pool tables and a jukebox for music. A couple things I think they could improve on was offering more drafts on tap, more seating/tables. There were plenty of room to add 4 or 5 more tables in the stage room, but staff may have been short handed that night. Overall it was a very good/ fun experience and I would definitely go back...
