Papa John's is not my usual pizza place. I believe I ordered from them before, but that must be more than a decade ago. Never stood out then unfortunately. What brought me back is the discovery of the limited time offering of Spicy Pepperoni Roils (I LOVE anything spicy!) advertised on the website. The taste was good, but found them under baked. The spicy garlic dip was okay, just found it tasting overly greasy.
Wanted to re-taste the pizza to see how good it is nowadays, so order one of the large specials with 3 toppings (sausage, meatball and bacon strips). Requested the pizza be backed well done, and the product was still under baked. Most disappointing. Having said that, I find that Papa John's does delivered a higher quality of ingredients than its competitors. The meatball actually tasted very good. If the pizza can be baked longer, I am positive the pizza will actually be very good.
Will I order from the place again? Likely, just to give it another chance. If it does not work out, then the brand will be in the back burner again for a long while. Regardless, the staff there were pleasant and the store...
Read moreMe and my family ordered pizzas the week of Christmas for pick up at the restaurant.
Their email instructions state that you must have your hazards on and park in the parking lot in front of the building. Then they will bring it out to you.
We waited for 30 minutes. Me and my wife discussed whether someone should go in and ask. No notifications, employees looking out the window at the vehicle and not coming out.
After 50 minutes I go inside. It is chaos. I manage to flag an employee down and ask about our order. He is severely rude, walks to a shelf and looks at some pizzas stacked on one another. He says "not ready yet"
Being polite, I say okay and wait an additional 20 minutes.
A different employee asks if I have been helped. I told him I'm waiting for pizzas. I give him the name. He then goes to the same pizza shelf and says "oh here it is! It was done. Someone should have brought this out to you. Sorry about that."
TL:DR, waited 70 minutes for employees to find out my order should have been walked out to us, and had to...
Read moreI went to pick up the pizza myself. While I was waiting for the pizza I could see how they prepare each pizza. There were 4 people preparing the pizzas and one of them had long hair that was tied on one side of her shoulder. She was the one who was tossing the dough. Each time she threw the pizza, the dough touched her pony tail. I told one of the people at the cashier what was happening and they really didn't care. So I asked for the supervisor. He was a very young guy and I told him that that girl should have her hair tied up because the dough was touching her hair. He just yelled at her and told her to tie her hair up and said that he was very busy and turned around. I also noticed that nobody uses gloves there. They go from preparing pizzas to answering the phone to handling money and back to making pizzas without washing hands and without using gloves. The place doesn't look very organized and clean. I won't order pizza there anymore. The Department of Health should go there and...
