We stopped in after a Cross Country meet at Youthtowne with three very hungry runners. First, we were thrilled with the cafeteria concept. It brought up memories for my husband and I who grew up eating at York Steakhouse. We’re a family of five and usually the only thing we can all agree on at any given moment is pizza, so coming here everyone could get something they wanted and that was awesome. Unfortunately we all ordered made to order stuff and not anything off of the line, which my husband had some remorse for when he saw the roast beef and stuffed chicken breast when we went to pay. The desserts looked to die for!

My husband and I ordered omelettes, my youngest had French Toast, my older daughter had chicken fingers and fries, and my son had fried chicken with fries. My husband and I were blown away with the size of our omelette with home fries and toast, we’re used to Eat N Park quality breakfasts. You could tell the omelettes were made with fresh eggs and not liquid carton eggs. The home fries were excellent! Made from fresh potatos not frozen and they were seasoned perfectly! My daughter’s French toast was fluffy and she loved it. My older daughter was presented with the most substantial chicken fingers I’ve ever seen, once again you could tell they weren’t frozen because they weren’t flat and when she broke one open it was actual chicken and not that super processed chicken. My son inhaled his plate of fried chicken.

We all got things that we could normally order at Eat N Park for about the same price, but unlike eating at Eat N Park, the quality of the food was top notch and we got tons of food for how much we spent and we didn’t leave hungry or feeling ripped off. We definitely want...

I am highly disappointed with this place. Upon entering, we were greeted and told about the set up, their messy chalkboard written menu had no prices on it for anything. I gotten a small saucer of broccoli salad, a small salad, green beans(from a can) and sliced carrots(from a can) with their stuffed pork chops and an unsweetened tea $20, my wife got the chicken dumplings, a broccoli salad and an unsweetened tea $11, my 5 year old got a large helping of roast beef, mac n cheese, carrots, corn, applesauce a stale bun and a pint of chocolate milk totaling $23, my 6 year old got the meatloaf, cottage cheese, applesauce, carrots and green beans with a sweet tea $19. They have no child sized portions here nor due they have anything kids will eat. The food was mediocre, my stuffed pork chops weren't hot nor cold, kinda luke warm and my green beans and carrots were cold. My wife said her meal wasn't hot at all, my kids refused to finish their meals, upon tasting the food it was barely warm. The bathrooms were horrible, the men's room smelled awful as the urinal was not flushing, filled with old urine, the toilet was not flushed from prior occupant, no soap or towels. My wife said the women's room had an open bottle of dish soap that had soap down the sides. Upon spending nearly $80 for this unsatisfactory meal and experience, we will not return. I do not for see this establishment surviving upon all the complaints, overpriced food, lack of attention to detail, ill regard to department of health regulations and no crowd as they were chased away. Good luck in your...

I paid a deposit for May 27 bingo. I became ill and had to cancel. The lady on the phone told me I cannot get my money back ($10), I would have to remain on their paid list and they would move my name down every week, and to just call in when I want to come ( as I was going on vacation during the next bingo, so could not reschedule for June 10) Not to mention, I had to call 4 times to even make the reservation, because I was told to hold for 10 minutes at a time, or told to call back later because they were too busy to take my call. Today I called to make my reservation and was told that my name isn’t on the list, and bingo was closed for this date. I asked to speak to the manager since I paid $10 and was told to call in when I returned from vacation. Nikki got in the phone and told me it’s the rule that I don’t get my money back, I was supposed to call every week and get my name moved. I was not informed of this and she refused to believe I would be told otherwise . She also stated she couldn’t understand why it would take me 4 times to make a reservation, as all her staff are trained to take bingo reservations. She didn’t want to acknowledge what I was told when I called in and told me I can file a complaint to “ the company”. She then refused to give me the email and told me to look it up on the website. I asked her to give me her full name then, so I can file the complaint with the correct names. She hung up on me. That is fine. I grew up in the area, I will make sure to tell everyone my experience. All I wanted to do was play bingo, and you refuse that...

This place offered some delicious comfort foods after a long day of hiking at Raccoon Creek! Our server - Kenidi - was polite but failed to make us aware of the specials. I inquired about an item that was on someone's table but not on the menu and was informed that it was today's special. I ordered it, so definitely would have been nice to know upon being seated. The smoked wings were juicy, tender and full of flavor. The hot roast turkey sandwich was everything I hoped it would be! I wish my plate had been served with more mashed potatoes, but the turkey and gravy were very well prepared. I rarely order soda with dinner, but this time I ordered Cherry Pepsi and its sweet fizzines paired well with my meal. Thought about having ice cream for dessert, but they were closing up the containers and turning off the case lights at 535pm. Also didn't ask if we were interested in ordering, even though we were both looking at the flavors. The decor is unique. Just focus on how delicious the food is and you'll walk away smiling!

What a pleasant surprise on this dreary rainy winter day! We hadn't been back to this place since it changed hands a couple years ago. The wife wasn't fond of the cafeteria style format. So, it was a total fluke that we'd drive all the way from Ohio on this kind of day. Long story short, we will be adding Lu-Lou's once again to our ACTIVE go-to list! Upon entering the crowded parking lot, I was subtly encouraged. And, despite there only being ONE GAL handling the Thursday morning crowd, she was AMAZINGLY CALM and EFFICIENT! Best of all, however, was that our wait was CERTAINLY worth it! We both had the Italian Scramble . . . hers with bacon, mine with hot sausage. I DID NOT expect what we got! It LOOKED as wonderful as it tasted! We are looking forward to going back . . . and not just for breakfast!

The food can't be beat. They know what they're doing! Everything is fresh and homemade. The portions are generous. Great, perfectly fried big, battered fish sandwich on a fresh roll. No mushy batter. It's fried right and flavored right. One of the best in the area! Real roast beef with real homemade gravy and real mashed potatoes! Great grilled chicken salad with real, whole pieces of chicken. You can't go wrong here! This place is in the regular rotation. This place is such a great discovery! A down home place where you always have the comfort of knowing you're going to get what you want and leave feeling good and satisfied.
