Full Moon — Restaurant in Fish Lake Township

Unbelievable food!! It's a little out of my way, but my goodness I'd stop by for the food any day and anytime!! Jason, the new chef has turned it around when it comes to food. He even makes some of his own wonderful food!! He has changed the menu AND so much more!! So stop in and try anything on the menu for everything has changed AND tastes SO much better!! I'd say that in my opinion this HAS NOW become a real hidden Gem!! It's really the food that makes this place stand out now!! Keep the new chef, and I bet more people will start to understand what I'm talking about! With the new chef, people will come for the food and stay for a drink or two! I won't say what I ate because I came here about 6 different times so I could taste many things before I did this review. I made sure to ask who the chef was so I knew his name for the review. I believe in giving credit when credit is due, AND my goodness, credit is definitely due! Thank you Jason for making every meal I ate. It was absolutely delicious!! I'll definitely be back to eat!! Keep doing whatever you're doing, because it works for this place!! A real Small Town grill and bar! Ohh great drinks as well, but I'm really only here for the food!! 5 Stars...

7:00 pm. Walleye sandwich was nicely done. " Baked potato " was disappointing, microwaved and seriously under done. Took time to get waitress to come to table to replace potatoes so meal was not as pleasant as expected with potato arriving nearly as we finished meal. No apologies. Had seen reviews about service being somewhat cold and unfriendly if you're a new comer, unfortunately that seems to be continuing. No second drink offered, just a "can I get your tab"? From waitress. Bar was open in another room. No offer to move to bar as she was obviously hurried to close food area?? While we had hoped to have a relaxing evening, it was anything but that. Paid bill and left. 7:30 pm. It will be a while again until we return, Other venues have been far more gracious under similar circumstances, apparently they want new customers to feel welcome and return.

Would I recommend a friend to eat...

This place is hit or miss. Last time I went the bartender was great, she was very attentive. The prices have gone up but the quality of the food is still meh. The reuben was small but ok. The frozen onion rings that came with it were tasteless. I ordered a draft beer and it came in a clear plastic glass; not sure why I didn’t receive my measure in real glass? The ambiance, where do I start… the bathrooms surprisingly function well and are clean. However there are coin fed amusement machines all over that cheapen the place. The bar is too tall. There is a bunch of junk in the front entryway. In addition the bar suffers from being in a building that wasn’t designed to be a bar and grill. Hard to make things work when the building is fighting you incessantly. Improvements could be made to make it better. But the place is frequently busy, the patrons don’t seem to mind...
