Dear owner, Last night; November 16th at around 8:30 one of your delivery vans was driving recklessly. Myself and husband were driving on Milwaukee Street away from McDonald's. We were coming off of Stoughton Rd onto Milwaukee Street. The right lane is a merge into the left lane. That left lane is for left turns onto let's say QuikTrip or McDonald's or whatever else is over there. The speed limit is 25 mph. We know this because we live on this road and have children that would need to be protected from high speed vehicles and such. We were going the speed limit safely and slowly merging into the left lane. We weren't fast. We weren't jerky. We knew exactly where we were going and even used our blinker. The van pulled up behind us going at a high speed and honked the horn. It was so violent that we decided to pull off to the right where there is no passing Lane or parking lot or anything of the like just to get out of their way. I jokingly said to my husband they must need to get to the liquor store before it closes. Keep in mind there were no other cars behind us and no other cars in front of us. That car could have easily stayed behind us safely as we merged correctly and legally. Lo and behold the vehicle in fact did pull into the Rockies liquor store. The driver recklessly tried to get in front of us just to get to the liquor store. I don't know if this is someone that you want to represent your company, let alone be driving in a vehicle that represents your company. We patronize our local businesses and love when they thrive. Melly Mel's catered my July 2023 wedding and to say the entire experience was fantastic would be an understament.

I spent years as a wedding planner working with great caterers and some not-so-great caterers, and I was fairly selective when it came to hiring my own wedding caterer.

My fiance and I wanted to work with a local caterer who offered delicious food with great service at a reasonable price. And Melly Mel's exceeded my expectations on every level completely.

Their soul food is so amazingly delicious. Every single guest - including people from both coasts and the south -- said it was not only the absolute best wedding food they have ever eaten, they said it was the best southern food.

We ordered fried chicken, baked chicken, smoked pulled pork, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, collard greens, and banana pudding. All of it made from scratch and mouth-wateringly good.

The tasting with Carmell went so well, and she is incredibly friendly and accommodating and organized.

And I cannot rave enough about the presentation of the food at the wedding. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, but their on-site team served everything out of gorgeous silver domed chafing dishes -- it was so nice.

The on-site team was INCREDIBLE. They were friendly, prompt, assisted with service, and went above and beyond in every aspect.

Amazing! I ate at Melly Mel’s when they had a storefront in 2012 when I was visiting from Iowa and never stopped thinking about it. Fast forward to today, I knew she was only doing catering, but a few weeks ago I reached out to her and asked if she would let me order a feast for my new husband and I to enjoy in our hotel room while in town for our honeymoon, and she kindly obliged.
