Wandered in I did, under the glow of the mighty taco banner flapping in the night wind like a signal from the Outer Rim. A humble-looking cantina it seemed, but inside? A full-on Rebellion of Flavor—and yes, tequila definitely made the call.

🌌 Atmosphere: Step through the door, and you’re greeted by wall art wise enough for a Jedi scroll: “I didn’t call you. Tequila did.” Accurate, that was. The bar? Stocked like a Naboo diplomat's liquor vault—Don Julio, Avión, Grand Marnier, even a sighting of mezcal from galaxies far and spirited. Calaveras and butterflies dot the shelves, giving Día de los Muertos vibes with a splash of cantina charm. Clean. Cool. And just quirky enough to know you're not on Coruscant anymore.

🌮 The Chosen Ones:

✅ Frijoles Taco – Black beans, red cabbage, creamy avocado, and a blanket of queso fresco. The balance? More centered than Master Windu in meditation.

✅ Nopal Taco – Grilled cactus and queso fresco—brilliantly fresh and zesty with that perfect snap of the saber.

✅ Baja Fish Taco – Beer-battered, chipotle-kissed, and avocado-crowned. Crunchy, creamy, Force-approved.

🪙 Chips & Salsa: Golden triangles of goodness, house-made and still whispering secrets of the fryer. The salsa? Bright, bold, but never burned like Mustafar—flavorful it was, overpowering it was not. A solid way to begin your mission.

🥤 Beverage of the Order: A bottle of Pineapple Jarritos. Sweet, fizzy, and tropical—like sipping on the light side with a carbonated kick.

Final Transmission: Tequila Tacos isn’t just a spot—it’s a hidden outpost of deliciousness. From their plant-powered taco options to a tequila bar that could put Mos Eisley to shame, there’s no doubt—this place awakens the flavor within. A worthy cantina to...

This is a small place that’s quaint and tasteful. It’s not trying to do too much with its atmosphere. It’s cozy, you’ll find paintings and statues depicting Dia De Muerte, light blue and yellow walls, and simple wooden furniture. The owners and staff are courteous and the food came out quickly. It’s incredibly well seasoned, cooked to perfect texture and consistency. As far as the Fitchburg and Leominster area, in my option, you won’t find a better price to quality ratio. The portions aren’t terribly large, however, they’re just enough to feel full without feeling like your stomach is bulging and you’ve over eaten. The food is presented in a way where it appears someone cooked and plated with care; the food looks respectful of the consumer if that makes sense. It’s not overwhelming. The experience feels like what you want a dinner to feel in this sort of establishment. Sits probably 30 people, excellent drink selection, simple menu, kind staff, go here. Don’t dilly dally. If you were waiting for a good review to try a new place out this is your sign. I sincerely hope this place sticks around for a...

My favorite spot for fast, fresh Mexican food in Fitchburg!

Taqueria Central is consistently amazing. The food is always fresh, packed with flavor, and served up fast. Everything I’ve tried has been delicious, but the chorizo is truly next-level—some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s perfectly spiced and incredibly flavorful, whether it’s in a burrito, tacos, or a bowl.

The staff is always friendly and the service is quick, even when they’re busy. It’s clear they care about the food and the customer experience.

That said, it is on the pricier side for fast food, and I do think some of the side options for the burritos—like grilled onions etc.—should be included rather than added on.

Still, the food is excellent and it keeps me coming back. If you’re looking for bold, fresh Mexican food in the area, this...

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at new taqueria! Went after soccer game and it was busy which is a good sign. Great chips and salsa (tasted like it had some chipotle added) and guacamole to start. Great selection of tequila/mixed drinks/beers/Jarritos. Had a selection of tacos all delicious! Highly recommend bierria, chicharron, carnitas, fish (amazing!), and steak. Amazing rice and refried beans. Burritos were loaded w flavor. Finished off with amazing flan/churros/tres leches for dessert. Friendly service. Nice Mexican ambiance. Very friendly owner. Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try the brunch options. Definitely going back!

Really enjoyed vibrant energy and food of Taqueria Central. I tried several tacos - Birria Taco, De Nopal, Baja Fish, and Al Pastor. The freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of the flavors truly made each taco a joy to experience. It was my first time trying nopales, and Taqueria Central made it absolutely delicious! Not to even mention their Churros! A delicious dessert to wrap up your meal. The overall vibe of Taqueria Central is incredibly cool, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or enjoy a solo meal. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu. Highly recommended! 🌮🙌
