Wandered in I did, under the glow of the mighty taco banner flapping in the night wind like a signal from the Outer Rim. A humble-looking cantina it seemed, but inside? A full-on Rebellion of Flavorâand yes, tequila definitely made the call.
đ Atmosphere: Step through the door, and youâre greeted by wall art wise enough for a Jedi scroll: âI didnât call you. Tequila did.â Accurate, that was. The bar? Stocked like a Naboo diplomat's liquor vaultâDon Julio, AviĂłn, Grand Marnier, even a sighting of mezcal from galaxies far and spirited. Calaveras and butterflies dot the shelves, giving DĂa de los Muertos vibes with a splash of cantina charm. Clean. Cool. And just quirky enough to know you're not on Coruscant anymore.
đź The Chosen Ones:
â Frijoles Taco â Black beans, red cabbage, creamy avocado, and a blanket of queso fresco. The balance? More centered than Master Windu in meditation.
â Nopal Taco â Grilled cactus and queso frescoâbrilliantly fresh and zesty with that perfect snap of the saber.
â Baja Fish Taco â Beer-battered, chipotle-kissed, and avocado-crowned. Crunchy, creamy, Force-approved.
đȘ Chips & Salsa: Golden triangles of goodness, house-made and still whispering secrets of the fryer. The salsa? Bright, bold, but never burned like Mustafarâflavorful it was, overpowering it was not. A solid way to begin your mission.
đ„€ Beverage of the Order: A bottle of Pineapple Jarritos. Sweet, fizzy, and tropicalâlike sipping on the light side with a carbonated kick.
Final Transmission: Tequila Tacos isnât just a spotâitâs a hidden outpost of deliciousness. From their plant-powered taco options to a tequila bar that could put Mos Eisley to shame, thereâs no doubtâthis place awakens the flavor within. A worthy cantina to...
Read moreThis is a small place thatâs quaint and tasteful. Itâs not trying to do too much with its atmosphere. Itâs cozy, youâll find paintings and statues depicting Dia De Muerte, light blue and yellow walls, and simple wooden furniture. The owners and staff are courteous and the food came out quickly. Itâs incredibly well seasoned, cooked to perfect texture and consistency. As far as the Fitchburg and Leominster area, in my option, you wonât find a better price to quality ratio. The portions arenât terribly large, however, theyâre just enough to feel full without feeling like your stomach is bulging and youâve over eaten. The food is presented in a way where it appears someone cooked and plated with care; the food looks respectful of the consumer if that makes sense. Itâs not overwhelming. The experience feels like what you want a dinner to feel in this sort of establishment. Sits probably 30 people, excellent drink selection, simple menu, kind staff, go here. Donât dilly dally. If you were waiting for a good review to try a new place out this is your sign. I sincerely hope this place sticks around for a...
Read moreMy favorite spot for fast, fresh Mexican food in Fitchburg!
Taqueria Central is consistently amazing. The food is always fresh, packed with flavor, and served up fast. Everything Iâve tried has been delicious, but the chorizo is truly next-levelâsome of the best Iâve ever had. Itâs perfectly spiced and incredibly flavorful, whether itâs in a burrito, tacos, or a bowl.
The staff is always friendly and the service is quick, even when theyâre busy. Itâs clear they care about the food and the customer experience.
That said, it is on the pricier side for fast food, and I do think some of the side options for the burritosâlike grilled onions etc.âshould be included rather than added on.
Still, the food is excellent and it keeps me coming back. If youâre looking for bold, fresh Mexican food in the area, this...
