We were seated and served our drinks, and salsa & chips. The salsa tastes like tomato sauce, without a hint of peppers; the chips are hard & greasy. When we order, we asked if they have a version of Enchiladas Verdes (what my wife normally orders at Mexican restaurants). They said they could make an Enchilada plate & put the Verde sauce on top. So we ordered three like that (wife & both kids) & I ordered the Fajitas Texanas. Plates came out & initially looked good, just a little small on portions. The ladies taste theirs though and they are H-O-T!!! Five-alarm fire hot!! We have eaten at multiple Mexican restaurants and never had the Salsa Verde be hot. We told the waitress & she more-less shrugged it off like there's nothing she can do; so, we asked for a few bowls of sour cream to maybe try to cool down the spice and make edible. My wife & one child managed to force it down, but the other has stomach ulcer issues & just couldn't handle eating it. She had eaten less than 1 of 3 enchiladas. So when we can finally flag down a waiter, we asked if he could swap hers for a plate without the spicy Salsa Verde; NOT ALL 3 PLATES, just 1!! He says sure. A couple minutes later, a waitress comes back & says we can bring it, but it'll be added to the bill, since you didn't say anything about it when it came out. My wife & myself try to talk with her about it & explain we did complain when it had initially come out, but she walks off. Then another waitress comes over; it's the waitress who brought the food out. She says she's the owner's wife. We explain it all to her & she says she'll do it for half price. My wife let her know that was not right; we had said something, and two of us dealt with it & just scarfed it down, but one simply couldn't. She says, "Wait & let me get him [the owner]. I'll have to do whatever he says." He comes out & begins badgering us in front of everyone in the restaurant about how we special ordered it & we should know what we are ordering before doing so; that his restaurant is not the same as other restaurants & we shouldn't assume so when ordering; & also how he couldn't afford to do that for everyone and stay in business; how many restaurants he owns in other locations that all use the same recepies; and so on. All the while, some of the staff are just standing around watching; obviously amused by it, laughing & pointing, along with other customers. Then after all of this, he finally ends by saying, "Well, I will only do it this time, not again." If my daughter hadn't been so hungry from waiting so long to eat, I would have told him to just forget it & left then. But we accepted & waited for her new plate. It came out much smaller than the earlier plates, but I told her to just eat where we could leave. The remaining 10+ minutes we were there, no one came to check on us or refill our drinks or anything. Every table around us was serviced, but not ours. Obviously, by now, I don't intend to come back again anyway. Once she finished her plate, we proceed to the register. None of the other employees would ring it up, then we figure out why. The owner comes back up & pulls out a "to-go" menu & starts back trying to argue, while pointing out where in the "Sides" section it shows the Salsa Verde is hot. It's called something else with "Verde" in it and in small print to the side it says "hot." I just agreed & handed him my card, trying to avoid further embarrassment. He does a bunch of punching on the register & says "$54.89" I was at the point, it was just embarrasing & pointless to argue with him, so I nodded & he swiped my card. You do the math though; the Enchilada plates were $8.99 each (x3) and my Fajitas Texanas was $11.99, which totals approximately $39. So 3 drinks were $16!?! I don't think so, this man charged me for the extra plate, EVEN AFTER all the humiliation & saying he "would do it this time." WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! NEVER WILL I E-V-E-R RETURN OR RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OR ANY OF "HIS"...
Read moreUsually I love this place but I made sure I ordered everything correctly being I go from Douglas to Fitzgerald just so I can enjoy Mexican food but I go get it come back home and get home to realize why it was so much of because of the way the guy rang it up and 2 the order was so wrong even though he read it back to me and I even called to verify a second time they had it correct. The chimichanga was beef was correct but barely any cheese sauce on it so dry as could be the chips that give for a meal for 2 people not even half a bag the cheese dip I paid for not even half full and the worst part the 3 tacos I ordered chicken Mexican tacos he asked shredded or chunks I said chunks they were ground beef! My husband only likes chicken. 34 bucks and some change no drinks included and we were both very disappointed. You add my time the had to get there and back then the cost of the food that wasn't correct or if it was correct was bare minimum I would say I need to just not eat Mexican food. Because that's getting ridiculous because for that price it should at least be correct at the least I don't think that's asking to much that is the purpose of a customer service job or owning a customer business is to give proper service to keep your customers coming back but this has not been the first time but it had been the most expensive so needless to say I won't be going back anytime soon. I work to hard to give my money to those who could care less about what they do for a job and it shows through the products served to the customers. I hate it but I will admit they are going down hill like every other restaurant in the...
Read moreUpdate: Rancho Grande in fitzgerald has officially lost my business. I was in line to pay for my food and the lady in front was trying to pay. She was told another customer paid for hers so she has to pay for his. His was $30 more. She then told her she can try to find the guy and have him pay the difference. Eventually she paid for it and then i get up there. Had 2 meals, roughly $12, plus cheese dip and 2 drinks. She charged me $52 and i questioned this and she said u got 2 drinks, 2 to go drinks and a cheese dip. She would not have any type of conversation about how that can possibly go from around $25 for the meals to $52. Im done the lady behind the counter is the only reason i will not come back again. Waiters are great though. I just had enough.
First off the food was great, but with that said our server literally took our order and I never seen her again except when she took other ppls orders. So there we sat with empty drinks during the entire meal. Then when we went to pay she didn't even turn in our ticket and couldn't find it. Feel like I need to bring my own soft drinks next time so I can atleast have it...
