I normally like this restaurant but I didn't like it this time. At first we sat in the bar area and the music wasn't on and I had a nice conversation with my son. But they turned on the music so it got harder to hear and as people came in to eat and hang out it got loud and I couldn't hear my son. We were eating my son had fish and chips the problem is they cooked it with beer batter terrible way of cooking. Beer batter is no good. When you looked at the fish half of it was soggy and look like it was uncooked and the other half looked overcooked when my son tasted it he can only eat a small piece of it and he made it look like he had more but he didn't eat any of it but a little piece of it. And the french fries he only had to because they don't have to be better on the price as well and it did not taste good. I ate the fettuccine alfredo it was good but alfredo sauce was a little runny it should be thicker than that. The server came and checked on us once in awhile but she had okay customer service but I don't think she cared about our experience. She knew that my son didn't eat the food and then an offer to compensate or see if you wanted something else or something was wrong with the food. She charged us and I gave her my credit card to pay. They charged me for someone else's meal that cost more money. I was not very happy about this. But I was polite she said she was sorry and corrected it right away refunded the amount and charge me the correct price I almost didn't give her a tip I did reduce the tip that I normally give because I did not enjoy this experience. No I'm thinking about it I probably should have given our tip at all. I'm not sure if we will be returning to this location anytime soon. On a good note they did have a ban on the outside that was playing great music I would normally sit there and listen to their music but it was 90°and no shade. So for all these reasons instead of me and my son hanging out enjoying our time we left because we can enjoy our conversations so we had to cut...
Read moreThe owner, a huge, jovial man with a genuine heart to match…looked down at me a 6’1” male and his first words set the stage for an unusual experience of being loved on by him, his staff, and the patrons!
“Hey there big man. How you do’n today?”
When words are genuine, you don’t need many to convey a sense of brotherhood. Oh yeah the food was on point. The salmon was seasoned well, and the squash was meaty. The view was calming, but I think the people I met there were as patriotic as the restaurant’s display of honor and respect for the Police, Firefighters, and military.
I am accustomed to receiving the gratitude for my service. That is not to say it has become routine or mundane. By no means, most of my brothers and sisters in arms are more apt to feel slighted in the absence of a show of appreciation. However, the people who came to eat where interested in knowing what this sailor did for their family and mine.
I’ve been to many businesses with my Fat Boy riding group. It has prompted a number of conversations as they are all white and was not familiar with the subtle but palpable sting of being in establishments not frequented by African American.
At the Beach Front Grille there are an unabashed group of patrons, staff, and an owner that want you to feel like the warm embrace of a den with a warm fireplace and a bare skin rug.
I was invited to return by patrons, staff, and that owner who believes your suppose to empty your bucket 🪣 of love 💗 everyday so you can have room to get it filled every night by all the good you’ve done.
I eagerly anticipate my return with and without my brothers.

Read moreCame here on a whim. Was surprised on how good the chef burger was when I visited (it was the mushroom and swiss for the burger, which by the way the chef burger is a random burger of the day).
Food sizes were just right, but my other half shrimp dish skillet was on the smaller size of things but she really liked the taste of the food. Mixed drinks were very good but on the overpriced side of things (which to be expected in any restaurant that's on A1A).
I am giving this 4/5 stars because the waitress told me that if I do a tip on the credit card that she will only get 70% of the tip because of the credit card fees and/or sharing. I don't know if she was telling the truth or not, but taking partial tips due to it is from a credit card is crazy. I am a banker so I know the merchant fees businesses have to pay to accept a debit/credit card payment, but 30% is high. This is also before the 3% surcharge on all debit/credit card payments (which is more and more common on smaller businesses, which I do understand since merchant fees are a giant skin-hole of business expenses), but with the 3% surcharge the business does post this at the entrance. Of course you can avoid everything above by paying everything in cash and also tipping in cash (which is what you should be doing anyway). Due to this, I am not going to give this 3/5 stars.
I might go back here, but the taking tips from waitresses due to it is from a credit card really bug me the wrong way. It is a shame, the food was good and so were the drinks (even if it was...
