“A Flagler Beach Gem!” If you’ve ever dreamed of having a cold drink while your toes are buried in the sand and a seagull stares deep into your soul, then Sandy Toes & Sips is your place! Perched right on the shoreline in Flagler Beach, this beach bar has perfected the art of combining drinks, views, and questionable T-shirt slogans into an experience that’s borderline spiritual. First off, the seating: it’s literally ON the beach. There’s no awkward shuffle from your car to the bar with sandals slapping the pavement—you can go straight from “catching a wave” to “catching a buzz” without missing a beat. You’ll be sipping your margarita while the Atlantic waves tickle your feet, and there’s something about it that just makes everything taste 100% better. And let’s talk about the T-shirts! These are not just your run-of-the-mill, “I went to a beach bar and all I got was this lousy T-shirt” The drinks? Let’s just say they pour them like they’re trying to make sure you stay for dinner…and maybe breakfast. The rum punch is so strong it might as well come with a waiver, and the mojitos are the closest thing you’ll get to a Florida miracle—unless you count finding a parking spot nearby. All in all is a must-stop if you enjoy good drinks, better vibes, and the occasional pelican judging your life choices from a nearby post. Five stars, with a side of sunburn!

If you are looking for what some call an “old Florida” type restaurant, this is it! Good FRESH fish and on the beach as close to the ocean as you can get without getting wet! Though the building is just a wooden type shack and you eat and drink from paper and plastic, you have the million dollar view and sound of the Atlantic Ocean right below you. You can sit out side steps from the beach or inside in a screen room. The breeze and smell complement the simple but good food. We love their fresh red fish blackened. One of the best pieces of fish I have had between Flagler and New Smyrna beach! The complimentary hush puppies are some of the best around, though everyone has a different taste for the variety of recipes out there. The sides are average. I wish they would make fresh cut fries. The clam chowder is simple but tasty. Add some black pepper and you are good. Great view with great fish is hard to come by in the Daytona Beach area. Either you get good food with out view or average and below food with a great view. My son and I have lamented, ‘what can’t these restaurants which have a ocean view have great food?’ High Tides at Snack Jacks gives us both! Note: parking is tight so they have a very responsive valet service- just pull off A1A and wait for the valet.

Great location, good waitstaff, food was mediocre at best. The mozzarella sticks were definitely frozen and clearly from some sort of restaurant supply, the fish dip was inedible it was like soup, served with stale club crackers that were all broken up within their wrappers that were still connected. I guess the gator tail was good but I didn’t try it. It’s all enclosed everywhere and felt hot no matter if you were sitting outside or inside. They have an insane view and great location I feel like they could do so much more with the spot than they have. So much beachfront and barely any tables facing it. The outdoor area was boxed in and very uncomfortable tables. There’s way too many signs with words everywhere makes you feel like there’s 100,000 rules. They should take down the signs telling you what to do and put more effort into the food quality. We sat outside at three different restaurants over the past weekend and never felt hot one time there was such a beautiful breeze, as soon as we sat down at this restaurant it was hot there was no air movement. It was a shame because it was walking distance to our campground but we never wanted to go back. The drinks were not good. They need to be on the show “Restaurants on the Edge” so much unrealized potential.

The views and hospitality cannot be beat. We were incredibly impressed from the moment we walked up. In getting a table, there wasn't a beachside table, but they gave us a patio table, set us up, we started our meal, and then came to tell us when another table opened that was better and that we should move to. The North side has 2 seats, and I would request that in the future. The kids loved the virgin daiquiri ($5), and they come in an amazing color change cup. The adult versions ($8) are made with sake, and my husband and I thought that was a great idea that produces a fantastic final product. For appetizers, we have the conch and crab fritters ($9) and smoked fish dip ($9). The fritters were fantastic, and even the kids loved the fish dip. The dip is served with captain's wafer crackers. For the real meal, we had a few different things at the table: Kid 1 - Hang 5 Grilled shrimp ($8). She loved it, until she discovered the shrimp was not cleaned. Kid 2 - Naked chicken wings (12 for $13). They were fried wings, served with carrots, celery, and dip. As an added bonus, he ended up with 3 waffle fries on the plate. While this might not bother some, he has serious food allergies and it created a risk since we didn't know what was in it and did not have that checked before ordering. Note: He has a corn allergy, and corn is in all breading in case you have a similar situation. This may seem like a negative, but instead focus on the way they accommodate the allergy. Fantastic customer service. Kid 3 - Crab cake sandwich and onion rings ($11). This was the win of the table. If we make it back, we would probably all order this. Adult 1 - Shrimp Po Boy ($14). This was great until the child discovered her shrimp wasn't cleaned and the others at the table checked. Yes, we may be snobby, but we love good food and have been to some places where meals have cost over $1000 so the concept of being at the beach and having uncleaned shrimp is foreign to us. Lesson learned - now we know to check first. Adult 2, me - Fried Shrimp (12 for $18) with organic cucumber and dill salad. Here's where it gets sketchy. With the first bite, I knew my shrimp was raw inside. The breading was hot, but even it was uncooked. The server grabbed by grey shrimp with a horrified look on her face and went to order another. In 15 minutes, a new plate was delivered. They did apologize, but did not stay to check to see if the food was up to expectations. This is a vital step of service after an error, and I can say this confidently because my husband is GM of a restaurant group. Unfortunately, the shrimp was again raw inside. All of them. 24 of 24 were served to the table raw. After a second try, I wasn't hungry, so we decided to grab the check and leave. With two attempts and the same problem, we can't help but wonder if they confused the fry timer (if it happened twice, fix the system) or if they were trying to fry frozen shrimp (we have seen this before and are only speculating) or who knows what happened. Either way, you shouldn't screw up and send out raw seafood twice to the same person. All in all, the idea of a beachfront organic restaurant is fantastic, and we think our experience might have just been a fluke. I'd try it again in a month or so, but right now, we are a...

TOURIST TRAP!! I'm a Florida resident, and often go down to A1A to go to the beach, and try out different seafood restaurants. So high tides at snack Jack looks very promising from the outside, they have valet parking so you expect it to be a higher class restaurant. Inside/ outside seating. Beautiful view. But definitely not quality food. To begin with we waited for a while to be seated or even acknowledge. Once we were seated my mother and I decided to order two pina coladas. At $10 a drink for a plastic cup, smaller than a solo cup. It was disgusting! It did not taste like a pina colada at all. So when the waitress came back we asked what was in it because it doesn't taste righ.. she then goes on to say that they don't have a full bar there and that the alcohol that was in there was Sake. Some sort of Asian liquor. We got it taken off the bill no problem. We asked if we'd be able to substitute some of the fried items on the menu for grilled instead and we were told that we can't do that, but offered us a $50 item on the menu that comes with grilled shrimp and a bunch of other fried things. My father is a diabetic, he can't have a lot of breading. And we just don't like it. We end up getting the fried platter anyways and my father settled for a salad. It's a $24 platter for a very small plate, the food came with plastic silver wear. You would think a place with valet parking would be a little bit more classy then plastic ware. But what bothered us the most was that when the bill came they charge you a extra $5 on the bill if you use a credit card. When we asked the manager she said we get a discount paying with cash. But once adding everything together that isn't the case. Super expensive for Walmart bought fish. Already pre made, selling it for a real seafood restaurant prices. On the way out one of the valet guys almost backed up into my husband. If he didn't yell he would have been ran over. Will not be...

We stopped into this awesome seafood spot on the water for a late lunch. At first we were going to sit outside, but opted to go inside instead since it was a bit too sunny for my pale self haha. The inside worked nicely though since they have a patio area with screens and fans, so it's nice and cool plus you get a beautiful view and ocean breeze while enjoying your meal.

Ashley was our server and she was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal. I started with a cup of New England clam chowder which was very creamy and tasty. For my entree, I chose the blackened ahi tuna club and got Caesar salad as my side. My boyfriend ordered the fried clam strip meal with fries.

The Caesar salad was average, but the ahi tuna club was delicious! I ordered it just seared so it was rare and tender in the middle like I wanted, and was a huge and thick piece of fish. I also opted to add sautéed mushrooms to the sandwich since I love them. The sandwich comes with a blue cheese dressing that tasted delicious! Not sure if it was made in house, but if it wasn't I definitely need to find the brand because it was yummy. I could only finish half and am looking forward to the leftovers! My boyfriend also enjoyed his clam strips. I tasted a couple and also thought they were good.

At the end of the meal, I asked Ashley if she could give me a cup of ice for our cooler to keep my leftovers chilled and she kindly brought me a bag of ice and another bag for my container to keep it from getting wet inside. Very sweet and appreciated! Overall, this was a great spot with delicious food and I'd definitely return!

Also, just a heads up that parking is valet here. They don’t charge for it though; just...
