One-Star Review for Jack's Restaurant in Florala, Alabama
I really hate writing negative one-star reviews, but I feel this one must be written. Either to encourage those who read my reviews to avoid this place or maybe to inspire the facility to seriously do something.
When we arrived, we were the only people in the lobby. No one was seated. The lady who took our order seemed nice but totally didnāt know what she was doing. We got our drinks and waited. About 12 people came in right after, and we took our seats, waiting for my name to be called. I kept wondering why these 12 people stood there, and nothing seemed to be happening for them. About 12 minutes passed, so I decided to go see why my order was taking so long. I watched as these 12 people stood at the counter for so long. I thought they were waiting for their food. Well, it turns out that no one had even taken their order.
At one point, there were four employees behind the registers, but they wouldnāt even dare to look at the customers. The employees would look at the screens, talk, then look inside bags, and they just kept this never-ending loop of looking at the screen and then looking at the bags. A couple of times, they would put their hands in the bags and say, āthis is chicken, not steakā or something like that. I had plenty of time to watch this all go on. Then the people started to leave. I saw the first three leave, and I asked them, ādidnāt you order?ā, and they said they hadnāt even bothered to take their order.
During this, one man came inside the building with his bag from his drive-through order and said, āyou got my order wrongā! During this, the rest of the people waiting started to leave. I am telling you, at one point, there were four employees all behind the register, acting like they were doing something, but they were not cooking and definitely not talking to the cash-paying customers. This one employee kept looking at me, shaking her head, like I didnāt know what I was getting myself into.
Now, after all of this, after the 12 people left that never placed their order, I went up to the counter and asked about my order. The lady looked dumbfounded. This is the same lady that just took my order 20 minutes earlier. She said, āto go, right?ā and I said no! Then she asked what I ordered. I told her that I had the special. Well, she looked around, and it was in the queue the whole time. So basically, the whole time I was waiting for them to call my name, my order was ready.
Anyways, I seriously hate writing negative reviews, but I want to warn those who actually read my reviews to avoid this place. Maybe the restaurant will read this and amend their ways. What is sad is that I will never go back there againātherefore, my one-star rating will...

Wouldn't let me submit it all so for the the jacks owner guy Our first jacks experience was nice at a different location when traveling in our rv food was great and the staff was nice. We tried the jack near us after our road trip and 3 times it has been disappointing.. Experience 1 Dine in with my wife and my two kiddos the oder took over a hour it's wasn't big.. everyone in the lobby was waiting forever. We heard the manager told staff to focus on the drive thru so no inside orders were getting completed after about a hour they finally got the order out.. staff is untrained..
2nd was drive thru it went pretty fast but when we got home we're were missing a whole 3pc strip and drink and fries
Third time was yesterday and I hate to say it well will not be coming back... the resturant was so slow lobby was full drive-thru took over 30 mins.. When we finally got our food and saw the disorganization inside.. they didn't even have sauces ready to go they were scooping it out of a huge container... the resturant looked very disorganized. And causing the super slow service. We were missing straws for the drink we ended up missing a milkshake and a nother 3 PC strip meal for the kiddo... the bacon was well under cooked on the burger... over all I believe the manager is ruining this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI very seldom write reviews, unless the experience is really good or in this case very bad. I go through the drive through. On several occasions it has taken around 30 minutes. I don't know how they stay open. I ordered 2 three pc. Chicken finger meals with Cole slaw and French fries. To my amazement we got our dipping sauces. We. Usually don't. I also ordered a bit salad. When I got home and opened it up. I had a bed of Lettuce, 2 half slices of tomato and cheese. No bacon of egg. I also had asked to please give me croutons. No croutons either. Tonight I was heading home after a long day and I ordered 6 regular hamburgers. They gave me 5. So I told myself I should have checked the bag. But the cashier at the window asked me if I had the 6 hamburgers, so I didn't think I needed to check the bag. I tried to call them at 10:19 pm and my call went unanswered until it stopped ringing. It's evident to me this Florala, Jack's cares nothing about be accurate with their orders. This is just 2 visits. I truly wish we would have gotten a McDonald's, Burger King or Church's Chicken. I am a local. JACK'S doesn't care about our community or the people that pass through our town. If they did, they would have better training for their employees and fix their broken system.
