I've tried this place twice, and twice I've been disappointed. The first time was pizza via food app. The pizza arrived and was a wet mushy mess. The second time we went there in person. The server was very friendly and highly recommend the grilled wings. So, I ordered a side of garlic knots and 20 grilled wings with 2 different sauces. The garlic knots came out and weren't really... Uh... Knotty. They were dinner rolls slathered in butter and garlic. The kids liked them well enough, but definitely not what anyone would consider a "knot". When the wings arrived, 9 came out grilled and properly sauced. The buffalo came out fried. I made the server aware, she apologized and said it's going to be a bit before they come out again because grilled takes longer than fried. Ok, no problem. My girlfriend and I bit into the grilled wings in front of us. The taste was quite good, but the wings were a bit chewy and did not separate from the bone very easily, but edible because we were hungry. 5 minutes later the 10 buffalo came back out. Wow that was quick! Thanked the server and she was off to her other tables. Noticed the wings were drenched in sauce that wasn't really buffalo sauce, but close enough at this point. Took a bite into the wing, texture was good, but.... They seemingly took our fried wings order and threw them on the grill to char them up a bit. It was apparent by the fried skin which was soggy because they were drenched in sauce. My girlfriend told me to tell the server, but I didn't want to cause a fuss and ate them anyway. When the server came back around we told her about the fried/grilled wings and we asked for the check. She looked a bit mortified and said that's not what should happen. Suggested I talk to the manager. I didn't want to, but she insisted so I finally agreed. By the time she came back with the check, I gave her my card, she returned with the card, the manager still hadn't come by. She asked if "she" (the manager I assume) came out to speak with us. I said "No, but it's okay we're just going to get going." She apologized once again. I told her she was wonderful and to have a good evening. The server was the only reason this review received a 2 starts, otherwise it's a solid 1 star...
Read moreOrdered 2 pizzas for pick up.. Was given 45 minutes due to one of the pizzas being a deep dish. No problem, we had ordered this a few times before so we were aware of the cook time. When we arrived to pick up, I was told the food hadnt been made and we were told the kitchen did not receive the order??. The Hostess said no worries, they are making both pizzas fresh and my order will be ready in 5 to 10 minutes, that the kitchen will put our pizzas ahead of others. I then inquired on how they were able to cook the deep dish pizza so quickly within 5 to 10 minutes. I was told the cooks had the ovens turned all the way up! Now being that I've managed restaurants for almost 25 years, including 2 pizza restaurants, I knew this was a lie. First off, I did not want a burnt pizza from from the ovens being all the way up, so I kindly asked them to turn the ovens back down to the normal cooked temperature. Although I knew this was just probably the excuse they tell most people for why the kitchen forgot to make the food. I myself have used this line in the past when I forgot to put an order in myself. 10 minutes go by and and one of my pizza's came out and was brought to me. It was a large cheese and this was not the deep dish. Knowing the deep dish would probably be another 20 minutes, I just asked for a refund for the deep dish pizza and I would pay for the cheese that was ready since it was already over an hour since I placed the order originally. After 2 different employees attempted to try and refund my card for around 15 more minutes, I was told that they did not know how to do refunds. The manager on duty had my name and telephone number and was going to let the general manager know the following day to give me a call to settle this. But, I would not have left this two stars if I had received a call at some point since the incident happened, but I've yet to receive a call or voicemail from any other management at the restaurant in almost...
Read moreI've lived in LL on and off over the years, and I happen to be back. I took my daughter and granddaughter out for a quick bite to eat. Service is great and fast. My granddaughter wanted french fries. We ordered those as appetizers, and it worked well. They were crunchy and well-seasoned. We ordered a large, plain cheese pizza for my granddaughter with the intent of taking some home. My daughter ordered a Greek salad, and I ordered spaghetti with meat marsala sauce. The pizza was good. My granddaughter, who is extremely finicky, gave the pizza two thumbs up. My daughter enjoyed her Greek salad. My dinner came with a side salad, which was more like a chop salad and very crunchy. The portion was very generous. We were doing great to this point. Then, I received my spaghetti. It's a bit on the greasy side, with a literal layer of grease floating on the sauce, which I don't mind. Don't know why, but they throw peppers and onions in the sauce. I think it's the same onions and peppers they use for their pizza. The pasta is well done, which is not my favorite. So... something was burnt in the sauce. I'm not sure if it was the sauce itself, or maybe they threw in burnt onions and peppers? Anyway, someone made a cognizant decision to serve this crap instead of throwing it out and starting over. There is no way the cook did not know the sauce or vegetables were charred /burnt and still served it. It's unfortunate since the overall flavor was good, and the portion was generous. I'm counting the spaghetti as a fluke and will try them again in the future since everything else was spot on.
French Fries = 4/5 Greek Salad = 4/5 Plain Cheese Pizza = 4/5 Marsala Meat Sauce w/ peppers and onions over Spaghetti = 1/5 Overall...
