ABC Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

This review is seven years after a good review I wrote. Tonight we dined at the ABC. The food was prepared well. We ordered a Mini Greek Salad and a 3 Topping Pizza. There was no problem with the food except the server forgot to put peppers on the Salad and gave us no bread… OK no big deal, but after the server dropped off the food she disappeared for the remainder and the whole time she was absent there was no one else in the restaurant but one table that had already been served and received their check. So no one attended to our table the whole time we were there. No drink refills no napkins and no ‘can I get you anything else sir/mam’ nothing. I firmly believe if you are going to pay good money for dining out you should expect excellence not mediocrity or less. With prices souring through the roof restaurants will be going out of business left and right so if you want to keep your business going you had best treat your customers like royalty and not like a third rate military mess hall. Needless to say it will be a while before we go back to ABC because they have lost our confidence in their service. There are still plenty of Pizza restaurants that are eager and happy to get your money and work hard to keep your business.

Well this is an update from Sunday April 13. We decided to give it a try again and it worse. The person who waited on us had dirty fingernails, unkempt appearance and was about as sharp as a bowling ball. The food was pathetic, The only good thing I ate was the potato salad. The Salad looked like it was slopped together and the service was inattentive and lousy. I’m not pulling punches this time because, I’m a firm believer if I’m paying for excellence I should be served excellence… If I spend money at your restaurant you should bend over backwards to make the experience worth repeating. We will not be going back. I can no longer recommend this restaurant. I can see if you have a bad day, but now I’ve learned that something is definitely wrong here… it’s a shame because it sis not used to...

I have been coming here regularly over a year for my favorite sandwich, the small eggplant grinder. The first time I had it the bread was delicious and a good size and the amount of eggplant on the sandwich was quite satisfying. I was a bit disappointed that it did not come with a side but only a bag of chips. For such a heavy sandwich chips is not a good accompaniment. How's about nice fresh salad or pickled vegetables to cut all the fat. It doesn't have to be too big just a couple of bites. I asked if I could get something lighter as a side and they said I would have to pay extra so I took the chips home for another time. Mind you this is a $9 sandwich. Every time I have gone back for the same sandwich it has gotten smaller and smaller. The last time the bread was a little wider than a hot dog bun and the eggplant was only two thin slices and did not even cover the whole bread. I complained to the wait staff but they just said that it is the same bread as they always use and it is a standard size. So prices keep going up and portion sizes go down. They did offer to make me another sandwich but I just ate the one I was given because they did not even offer to have me talk to someone in charge. My complaint was in regard to the inconsistency in their portion size over the time that I had been eating there and they just argued with me that the portion size has not changed as if I was making it up. That is insulting for a customer to hear. So, unfortunately I will not return again. I only support restaurants that make me happy and I have not been...

You know I like the food and ABC Pizza or at least the last time I have it it was pretty good well that was years ago. I went there today and that was the first time I ever actually stepped inside this restaurant. I'm going to give him two stars for it being clean but that's the only thing I'm going to give him stars for. A group of us showed up for small meeting that group included all of six people and because we didn't make a reservation ahead of time management was very upset with us. part of the reason they were upset with us is because only I ordered a soda and no one else ordered anything. part of that is because the waiter never actually came back over and let us know that they were even there would have been nice if they did as I would have ordered a salad and I told management that he didn't appreciate hearing that. not only did he have an issue with this not making a reservation but the one person in the group that he appears to be friends with he chewed out in front of me and other customers. Honestly that's bad business practices no matter how you look at that. would I recommend this business to anybody else no not at all. I think if at least one person as a table ordered something I don't think it's necessary that everyone does and honestly you shouldn't sit there and chew people out in front of everybody because you're upset that they didn't order your food. The way to get people in your restaurant is to tell people thank you so very much for your business please come back again And maybe next time...
