Have family that lives in the neighborhood and recommend that we give it a try. Walked in and had to find someone to ask if we seat ourselves which they said sit any where, ok great we sat in the middle table of the yard. Waited over thirty minutes for a waiter to acknowledge we were there he never did just looked at us like we did not exist and kept walking by us. I finally got up and walked inside and waited another 15 minutes for the girl behind the bar to notice me. By the way only 1 customer was at the bar and he actually got her attention and said these people have been waiting for service for quite awhile. Any way the waiter with dreadlocks kept walking by and not saying a word. Finally a waitress came and apologized for the wait. After that the service and food was fine, in fact the food was very good. It was just the very poor service and cold attitude from the kid with the dreadlocks what a poor representation for this cool restaurant. By the way there was only three other tables were occupied when we walked in. I go past this place every day and always wanted to stop in, will keep driving by from now on and definitely let my family in the tree tops neighborhood know how disappointing...
Read moreFirst off... this place is cool looking. And then the "service" starts. Waitress who clearly hated life takes the drink order, wife orders Arnold Palmer. Doesn't ask "sweet or unsweetened tea?" Just brings out unsweetened lemon flavored garbage and proceeds to literally throw straws at my wife and I. Takes my kids drinks order and casually "forgets" to mention that the specific drink they wanted is priced each and not bottomless like every other restaurant on planet earth. 10 dollars later on some non-alcoholic Shirley Temple knockoff. Then this woman ignores me and my wife completely for half an hour. We have to track her down and ask her to take my kids food order. I'm still being ignored mind you. Takes their orders and looks right at me and walks away as I begin to place my order...or so I thought. After over an hour with an empty drink and STILL no food order placed me and the wife box up the kids food and sign the check and leave. No tip was left because I refuse to give any more of my money towards this B/S. After we are halfway home we get a call, THIS LADY HAD THE NERVE TO ASK IF WE WANTED TO LEAVE A TIP! Not even ask us, she asked the people we were there to meet!! Never EVER...
Read moreUpdate....March 29, 2024.... After a stellar review in the past I am writing about my most recent visit.....Our experience at the Bean Depot today, unlike our previous experience, was not very positive. I believe that we had one of the worst servers that I have experienced. The food was good but we waited a very long time before our server appeared to take drink orders and bring menus. My wife's meal arrived incomplete and I had to track down the server to remind her to bring the fries. When they finally arrived we were finished eating. For the most part we were ignored by our server. I had to once again approach her for our bill and a to-go box. Bean Depot is a busy place and kind of a fun unique atmosphere but based on today's experience we are unlikely to return. Service has suffered a serious decline since my last review. Here's my previous review... 3 years ago....Had an enjoyable lunch. Good fish sandwich and friendly service. Interesting...
