I’m genuinely sad to write this review—I truly wanted to give this place another five stars. I hope the cafe takes this feedback to heart because this area really needs a great restaurant and coffee shop, and this spot has so much potential.

The location is beautiful—right on the water—with a cozy, inviting interior that makes you want to stay a while. I’ve been here before, and my first visit left a better impression. The coffee was great that time, and I was excited to return. Unfortunately, my second visit didn’t live up to the first.

We ordered three coffees: the Snickerdoodle, Honey Bee, and Bean Redeem. All of them were overwhelmingly milk-forward with very little actual coffee flavor. The Snickerdoodle, which was supposed to have cinnamon notes, tasted mostly like vanilla and caramel. The Honey Bee didn’t taste quite right, and the Bean Redeem lacked the white chocolate and toffee flavors advertised—it just came across as more vanilla.

As for the food, we tried a variety: the biscuits and gravy, Sunrise Supreme, the Classic, and the Reg. Sadly, nothing stood out. The Reg and Classic were okay but lacked seasoning or anything memorable. The biscuits and gravy reminded us of the older McDonald's version—definitely not homemade. The Sunrise Supreme came on mini biscuits that were dry, and the sandwiches overall were just average.

A recurring issue we noticed was that a lot of the items seemed prepackaged. The baked goods in the case looked like they came from Sam’s Club. If the coffee had been excellent, we could have overlooked that—but with both the drinks and food falling flat, it’s hard to justify a return visit right now.

That said, I really want to see this place thrive. There’s a great opportunity here to make it special: seasonal menus, house-made syrups, stronger flavor profiles in the coffee, and maybe even partnerships with local roasters and bakers. Showcasing fresh, local ingredients and dialing in the coffee recipes could turn this into a true gem.

I’ll be keeping an eye on this spot and genuinely hope to update this review in the future with a...

From the moment that I entered thru the door I was amazed by how beautiful this place is, the back has a small lake. The service was great, the nice lady at the register was working alone this day, yet she managed to provide great service with a good attitude, the place had a lot of customers but yet my food and coffee was of great quality. She came to the table and apologized for the wait and appreciated my visit, the wait was not bad at all, I being in places with more employees that take way longer.I ordered the Belgian waffle, it was hot, crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. The coffee was good, a little too sweet, but it was for me to blame for my sweet tooth the one I ordered had honey and hazelnut cream in it with spices, so had it coming. This place is unique as you can sit outside and look at the beautiful scenery or sit inside and enjoy the decor and relaxing music. The place appeared clean and organized and the staff is very happy that you visit their business, the lady was busy and worked hard to fulfill all the orders, but yet at the end of the rush she was so happy and grateful for everyone there. I will definitely be back...

The atmosphere seemed okay. Unfortunately when my husband and I entered we stood there until a staff member noticed us, a gentleman did greet us and explained how to order. When we went to order two women, one was an employee, were talking in front of the place to order. We stood and waited for about 4-5 minutes and they saw us, but stood there and talked and did not offer to help us. The gentleman looked to be uncomfortable as we stood there waiting. My husband is black and I’m white and I can’t confirm that this is the reason that we were not taken care of by this employee, but I can’t think of any other reason other than her just being a terrible employee or racist. The employee who ignored us and did not service us was an overweight woman. Because of this we did not try any food, and we would not recommend visiting this establishment.

This is a really big letdown because I have been very excited to try this place ever since I saw their coffee flights...
